Beacause different people respond differently to the same situation. Not really sure what you think you're proving with that point. Boyd's form clearly detiorated with injury and specualtion over his future. The difference with Weir also being that he has made his fortune, achieved a lot in his career and knows the club will pay up to keep him if he decides to stay.

Fair do's. Wasn't sure so was just making it clear.

My only concern with Webster is his injury record, not his ability. And he's not suffered much this year in that respect so I'll be happy to have him back.
-
Smith is a fan of picking a team that wins a game. If a player has a vital attribute in his game missing then he wont get picked. Doesn't mean Smith doesn't not like lightweight creative players (though I have no problem with him not liking lightweight players) just that he doesn't think that kind of player will help him win a match in the SPL.
-
I imagine next season he will be talked about in the same vein as Buffel, with Smith blamed for Beasley not doing enough while here. Had some quality but exhibited it all too infrequently.
-
Walker's pathetic attempts at defending the decision are awful. First saying there was enough contact for him to go down? Would he say the same should it have been given for us or against Celtic?

Who had Brown in the sweepstake then?

Who is going to be on to back Lennon tomorrow "Gym"?

:fish: Dunno if i'd like a purple home kit?

Had forgotten who was in the other half of the play offs when I posted that.

Just happened to be reading that post over there just now. Doesn't at all sound like good news, certainly not on the playing side of things.

Not find a bear in the other half of the draw?

Just posted because I knew you (perhaps more than any other member here) would enjoy it. If it helps cheer you after the election result all the better.

I nominate myself for Donkey of the Week. Blame that one on lack of sleep.

The mandatory daily "lennon for Celtic job" thread. For the love of god give it a rest gym. Enough of this propaganda wagon.

So we'd get rid of Boyd based on a poor couple of months (largely down to the uncertainty surrounding his and the club's future), yet for the likes of Lafferty we'll support him fully for only recently showing any kind of promise after a year + of rubbish. I'm not saying we shouldn't support Lafferty. I just don't get not giving support to Boyd for very spurious reasons yet vehemently defending other players who have done less to garner such support. In an ideal world we'd back all the players (within reason).
-
I think that's a normal position to take for a player who has once again made a huge contribution to our success. It is somewhat surpising you seem to offer your full support to players who have contributed less than Boyd yet seem to deride his contribution.

Alistair Johnston: A Time To Celebrate And Strategise

Ian just gets slapped around the back of the head when things aren't going well and Walter is banned from the touchline. -
Miller hitting 20+ once his career hardly leaves me thinking it probable to happen again next year. I think it's quite incredulous how little some fans appreciate what Boyd contributes. Especially when these same fans are typically huge fans of Lafferty, Sebo and any other forward with a very poor goal scoring record by comparison. You can't just say Miller will take up the slack of Boyd leaving anyway as most the season they have played together. It would be up to Lafferty or Naismith to contribute what Boyd did and again that seems unlikely.
-
Is this another weak fishing trip? Whilst Boyd is more likely to go than many others both from a playing and financial p.o.v. it would be extremely bad business.

Why is it always Walter, Ally and Kenny? Why no mention of Ian? -
Often the excuse for our fans when trying to deflect criticism of their favourite player. Not an attack at you, just an observation of our online support.

Ha ha. Fair do's. We'll see.

Nicholas couldn't say it could he. Talking about Hinkels pish about them being better. Nicholas said how Samaras said the same thing and Smith would use it to motivate his players. Apparently us being top of the table show's we've had better consistency and better togetherness. Damn sure if the shoe was on the other foot he'd be pressing home the point that they were the better team. But he couldn't say it about us! :spl:
