Saw the results tonight. Glad well won and hopefully they can manage to get a couple more coefficient points. Getting into the groups like Aberdeen would be no bad thing.

Only if the win their next game for which they are unseeded. Agree with rbr's post below yours. Non automatic qualification is not the end of the world for the Champions.

They're nuts. From despair to wild rampant optimism. Surely getting pumped by Braga in a competitive game is a better indication of their level than friendlies especially when it comes to "rattling the European cage".

If our interest has cooled, how are they nicking him? I swear the last 2/3 years every player they've signed they try and make out they've beaten us to the signing. More Loovens' type signing for them hopefully.

To be honest I think that backs up what a few said at the time, which was that he was the best of the bad bunch and somewhat overrated by some of us. For the avoidance of doubt I fell into that small group. :box:

3-0 the standard Celtic away defeat in Europe. Should have put money on that. Big question marks over the keeper for the third no? Didn't even realise this was tonight btw, only found out from a text from my brother. If Celtic lose this one that's them completely out of Europe right?

I think we're missing a littel bit of background info here. -
Same shit that's happened the last 2/3 years. A lack of consistency and a lack of success for them has led to annual upheaval yet each year it is heralded as them demonstrating their financial clout. They're not building from a position of strength. They're ripping up and starting again season after season.

That was my question though Zappa, was it first team or a Rangers select XI and the question is long answered anyway. Only positive to come out of pre-season so far may be the return of Andy Webster. Could be a useful player if he stays fit and shows his Hearts form.

Sometimes when we play pre-season friendlies against the lesser teams we send a team of kids and call it a Rangers XI. Done it numerous times over the years.
