And the converse is true of many fans who love to overstate his contribution. Thanks for putting words in my mouth too. Seeing as we didn't sell him of course I want him to play well when he plays.

I've still yet to see anyone tackle a major point you highlight there. IF you say you are in it for the good of the club, but your mere presence within the RST board is highly damaging to the RST and any chance of advancement, attracting new members and uniting the support, why then would you not take a back seat? Unless you are merely in it for personal gain (of whatever nature).

Aye not the worst. But then there really should be nothing to fear in that draw. :spl:

Killie away next up apparently.

Who is this boy Vernon who got a couple for Aberdeen against Raith then? Another one coming through their youth system?

Will that form part of the hospitality package? -
To be fair I wouldn't have been disappointed had we managed to sell him. As he's here, here's hoping he proves me (and a few others) wrong.
-
Aye, he could well play ahead of Weiss and I can't see Walter playing two attacking wide men up there so that might be a more likely option.

Naismith doesn't deserve to be dropped surely? I'd probably have him in for Edu but then I don't know if I'm comfortable with Davis moving back into the middle.

I vaguely remember a previous link up with, I think, ladbrokes. The official site even had stories on Hateley's picks. Does this actually bring any revenue into the club? At least anything worth speaking of, and how? Competition might be worth a shot for any member who is a regular gambler and would place a £20 bet anyway. -

Is that right about Wilson? First i've seen of that. I knew there were add-ons, just never knew what they were. Thought it would be the usual "x" amount after "y" games or similar. -

Welcome wwna. When have you seen him play as I had never heard of him until we took him on trial? More options in the wide areas are definitely welcome.

My work only normally have SS1 + 2. Hoping I will get access to it as it's my weekend on. -
Can tie yourself in knots trying to analyse all this. There is also the difference between Rangers co-efficient and Scotland's co-efficient (not to be confused with the FIFA ranking it has feck all to do with the national team). A temporary slip in the rankings and less teams in Europe might be a blessing in disguise for future season's though. Potentially? This year we are the only team really who will collect any points yet it will be divided by 5 for the national co-efficient due to 5 qualifiers. Having less teams in at the start who will get no points (or maybe the odd 1) means any points collected will be divided by a smaller number and hopefully make a greater contribution to the league's future co-efficient. Might be a bit if a vicious circle of ups and downs for the SPL though with the ranking hovering around 13 or so.

Was just having a look on Bert Kassie's website. Our co-efficient points gained for the 05/06 season are due to come off of our ranking. We collected just over 12 points that season and would want to achieve around the same this season to hopefully maintain our ranking and ensure we are seeded for future tournaments and should we qualify continue to enjoy at least 3rd seed status in the CL. Thanks to bonus points and the draw with Man U we already have just over 5 co-efficient points. For this season we were the 31st ranked club in Europe. For 2011 we would currently also be ranked 31st but of course there are many points to play for. We all also know how important the countries co-efficient is for qualification of our clubs to European competition and will hope to accrue more poitns from that point of view.

Why attack one ranger to defend another? And whilst many think Lee's comments in the press ill-thought out, they are in a completely different context to the silly things Lafferty has said and done from time to time.

We're not great, but we're not that bad.

With Hutton we can afford to turn a bit of a blind eye as he is quality. Brown is and was rank.
