Man Utd boss Sir Alex Ferguson hails Walter Smith
Super_Ally replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Na, he's just lucky that Mowbray was shit and that we got all the decisions. -
I see what you're saying and as a generalisation of Rangers fans that about sums up the consensus opinion. I, though, have been consistent since that transfer was mooted in saying it was a steal, and have been proven right ever since. I didn't post in this thread to continue that debate though (this time ). Just keeping an eye out on a recent former player's progress. Young Scot doing well down South and I'm happy for him.

Where did you hear this? Just a wind up? Particularly with them going back down.

In the Championship team of the year according to Sky Sports News (along with fellow Scot Graham Dorrans).

Simply The Best for the UK #1? (At No 13 on Radio 1 Midweek Chart)

You wanted evidence that they were aiming to raise support and awareness of the EA. This was a follow up post to reignite that. The Facebook page courting support for buying STB has reverted back to a support for the EA and the forces. But then I think you are just about smart enough to have figured that out for yourself. -

Agree with this. I felt we "won" it long ago. This weekend was merely a formality of officially crossing the line for me.

Don't think we'll see much of a change.

'A Phenomenal Achievement', says Bain

Unfortunately it didn't even shut up the critics here for all that long. -
Brilliant from the wee man again.

Does Anyone Think The Bheasts Are Hurting?

Fucksake, ban him! -
Exhibiting the class and dignity that has come to be associated with them.

Ha ha. I stand by my point.

Looks like an excuse to me to take a cheap shot at a player you don't like. Which is a shame.
-
Quality goal today. Really pleased for him. Unsure why there's a need to knock another Rangers player in praising Lafferty though?

You're the only moron on here who read what I wrote and invented a new meaning for it. The intellectual superiority coming from you is quite amusing when you're the only one who's actually done anything stupid on this thread. -

No one said that, you just read something that wasn't there. The aim is to raise awareness of things like the Erskine Appeal and support for the troops. I am positive that whilst no funds from buying dowloads will go direct to EA, donations and awareness of the appeal will increase because of this. -
I think this may, in part, have been stimulated by me. I don't want Celtic to win tomorrow. But I also don't want our game being an anticlimax. If I was pressed I want a Celtic defeat as always. But it would be nice to win it with a win at Hibs. As craig rightly points out though, however we win it (and we will win it), it will be down to us and not anybody losing the title. :spl:

Simply The Best for the UK #1? (At No 13 on Radio 1 Midweek Chart)

Apologies for the confusion. I don't think any of the money goes directly to the Erskine appeal, but the guy who originally came up with the idea did so to support the troops and raise awareness for the EA. I guess that has been lost a little in the publicity of the whole campaign. On one of the links at least, part of the money from sales goes to a charity (War child??). -

As well as a but of a laugh it will help raise a bit of support and awareness for the troops and for the Erskine Appeal. So from that point of view it is wothwhile. I do see where you're coming from, I just think it's a bit of fun and the fact that the mhankies attempts with the Liverpool song failed so miserably shows that it requires an awful lot of support and downloads to get a song that high up in the charts. -

Maybe achievement was the wrong word but not worth getting upset over imo. -

Because no. 1 was maybe not a realistic aim given the numbers in support of the campaign and the numbers normally required to achieve no. 1. Or is it the idea that it is any kind of achievement at all that you disagree with? -

After the early online success I was hoping for a bit more, but realistically that is probably a fantastic achievement. -
Will write this some time today. Half-forgot it was my turn.
