Shares of thousands of companies are issued and traded every day, all across the world. Transactions range from vast sums of money to an individual buying a few penny shares. There is a system for this and it works perfectly well without the equivalent of a Club1872 intervening between buyer and seller. There is absolutely no need for these grandiose intermediaries. Surely there could be no purer expression of fan ownership than fans actually owning shares and having their own voice. Club1872 is only relevant when people feel they need someone else to tell them what to do and that is never a healthy option - as we can clearly see today.

I think you are letting your distaste of what Club 1872 stand for - the collective ownership of shares- colour your judgment.

Full disclosure - I'm a member of Club 1872, having first been with Rangers First. I also see nothing wrong with collective action to further a cause.

I'm a member of many organisations and while not agreeing with everything they do, my shared belief In their aims are enough for me. Anyone who is a member of a political party goes through this all the time.

I don't know if it is easy to buy Rangers shares as I thought they were not on a trading platform. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.

I  ordered a print of this two weeks ago and have heard nothing since from Rangers. I know these were available at the Old Firm match in the fan village so they must be available to send out to people.

Has anyone else ordered one of these and revceived it?

I've emailed Rangers but the email address in the confirmation email was for the ticket office so I'm not holding my breath for a reply.

I didn't manage together a programme at the Dortmund game so I ordered one from the rangers site. Some weeks later I still had not received it so I emailed them. After about a week I got a reply to say because of demand they had to send for a reprint and it would be sent out. A couple of weeks later, I still had not received it so I emailed again. No reply, but a week or so later I received 2 programmes, in different envelopes!

We should but we won’t. We are toiling up front without Alfie

When Morelos was suspended in the past, or away on International duty, we coped. There was even a time when Gerrard dropped him (after he came back late, I think)

We may be weaker without him, but we have no option but to adjust. Playing another in the same role as Morelos does not seem to work, so hopefully a tactical switch will use the players we have more productively.

    I'm hopeful (or maybe deluded!)

    Half glass full loyal.

  4. I feel that the negative reaction to the Old Firm thing comes about from the game played out. Before the game I thought it was just having a laugh at Celtic's expense. Had the result gone our way, we would now be on a high and little attention would be being paid to this.

As it turned out, we're all feeling low and many are looking for someone to blame, both on and off the pitch. I can understand why this was done. High exposure on TV. Everyone sees Old Firm. Celtic fans annoyed. Just part of the pre match pantomime that this game attracts. Side shows like this become associated with the result, so I'll be surprised if we see this again.

I’d have thought the SPFL would have had to pay for it from their commercial revenues.
    Meaning less money for clubs.

I agree that the SPFL will pay. How they then reduce the payments they make to clubs is open for debate. Will they simply charge all clubs the same or will it be a percentage of what they would have got?  To get the majority of clubs onboard, I imagine they will go down the percentage route, or at least a sliding scale so that the big boys pay more in monetary terms.

Exactly this. Bisgrove is as much a Rangers man as any other random person. He is a commercial/marketing professional and probably a good one.

He may be a good commercial professional, but he sure is not a diplomat.
