  1. As difficult as it will be, it is beyond bizarre these cuts weren't made months ago. However, I'm merely stating the point that although we have have time per se, there are a variety of other problems associated with using that time. That should not be under-estimated.
  2. Agree with all that. The problem bidders have is that if they reveal too much of their strategy, they're open to others claiming it as their own or endangering creditor agreement. However, there's a fine line between that and being unable to gain the trust of the support beforehand.
  3. How many fans would renew as it stands? Not many and certainly not enough to input the kind of finance the club needs to retain staff and full operations. I agree there may be more time than some suggest but none of us are sitting comfortably and D&P are not the only culpable party.
  4. That element is probably true but, again, I'm sure Miller would have been able to make an educated guess at that beforehand via the data room.
  5. Of course it didn't help but a main reason for walking away, I don't think so. I'd say majority of fans were happy to hear him out - more so given there was no other option. Miller could have alleviated any fan concerns at any point and chose not to. The banners were just a convenient excuse IMO.
  6. We're also supposed to have season ticket money in hand. We don't.
  7. Again, let's keep the debate non-personal please gentlemen...
  8. Agreed. This is an excuse - nothing more.
  9. I don't think there would be a backlash should TBK (or Kennedy) opt for a newco. We seen with Miller fans are not against a hive down so while TBK may have talked about stand-alone CVA's previously they have the get out clause required for changing tact late in the day.
  10. I wouldn't say a consensus - just that it's as good an explanation as any for his actions.
  11. Yeah, that's the worry but heard talk about gentlemen's agreements over player contracts and that as long as we're out of admin by August via CVA we can avoid any penalties. Seems all a bit pie in the sky to me so I reckon newco is still most probable outcome.
  12. He wanted a stand-alone CVA a month ago but pulled out because of difficulties with D&P, Ticketus and Whyte. Difficulties all other parties have subsequently had. Is there time for a stand-alone CVA now? Possibly so I'd hope that will still form part of his thoughts but, as I've also consistently said, it may suit any interested parties to consider the newco route now the stalking horse has gauged the mild reaction. What I do suspect is that if Ng is serious, we may not hear anything until the deal is 99.9% complete. But, he's made mistakes before with his PR so we'll see.
  13. That's a fair enough observation mate. The Trust and FF have made mistakes but none of us are perfect and it's not as if this is a situation we have good experience of.
  14. Welcome to all.
  15. I've said consistently to rule no previous bidder out. I doubt anyone (especially Ng) will be eager to stoke speculation again as he won't want to get anyone's hopes up. If he wants to buy the club then they need to concentrate their efforts on doing so in one fell swoop as opposed to a gradual process of spin and party politics. That goes for all potential bidders.
  16. Yeah, At the end of the day we just want our club to stay alive - people may accept anything for that to happen.
  17. Even in the unlikely event it is true, Whyte would probably be involved which isn't what many of our fans would want I'm sure.
  18. I don't buy this for a second.
  19. He'll be aligned with Ticketus most probably.
  20. I'm going to say this once before I go to bed in 5 mins. I don't want anyone falling out and getting personal over this. We're all bears and while we may disagree, now is not the time for arguments.
  21. Honestly don't know mate. I'd say a newco is inevitable but anything could happen. Anything.
  22. RE: Miller's excuses. 1. In actual fact the reaction to his newco plan was very mild within the fans. A few banners is not serious opposition. 2. Club9 retweeted my article about accepting downsizing. Fans understand need for prudent future. Our expectations are moderate.
  23. The Trust isn't above criticism but they're not to blame here. Do you really think a serious businessman would allow a few banners to stop a takeover? The reaction to a newco was actually much milder than I thought it would be. Much milder.
  24. Person with the best hand is arguably Craig Whyte. But then again he's also the dealer.
  25. It's hard to say mate. A few times I thought TBK were ahead of the game but it turned out they were catching up. Generally speaking I think all this is part of someone's plan. A very dangerous, risky plan but all the people involved in this farce are not daft folk. They're just playing poker using very high stakes. I'm confident the club will be saved but that's more in hope than expectation.
