  1. Absolutely. Clearly he brought many of the institutional people on board so you'd think he (or Ahmad/Zeus) be their rep on the board so to speak. Now they've gone, you'd have to think it will be Easdale but it could just as easily be Mather, Hart or Stockbridge. Who knows!
  2. Interesting to see The Sun omit any comment from clubs opposed to the proposals.
  3. Charles Green was the majority/controlling shareholder but now he has effectively transferred a small portion of his shares (or at least the option to), Hargreave Hale Limited now own the highest %age with 7.60% of the club. We've yet to see if the club intend offering share dividends to them and others.
  4. Absolutely and maybe I am. However, you have to concede they'll know more than most about the issue from a variety of angles. And, they'd have to be very professional indeed not to let that impinge on their advice - even unconsciously. Essentially what I'm saying is that there was and still is a conflict of interest in MediaHouse's involvement with Rangers. I may be doing them a dis-service to a degree and I certainly sympathise with the job they have/had working within this crazy farce but the fact we are talking about them says a lot. Harsh but very fair IMHO.
  5. Like I say, MH have been a key part of this story for around ten years. It's a cliché but they, more than most, will know where the bodies are buried.
  6. You would think that but I've given up trying to analyse who had what interests and how they were related to others. MH's influence may well be a red herring compared to the bigger fish but I don't think we can under-estimate the affect they've had on this farce.
  7. So who is the relevant party at the moment as they all employ (or have employed) MH: RFC, MIH, LBG, Whyte, Green or the Easdales? MH's importance with respect to the last few years seems pretty clear because they've arguably been party to more information than anyone else.
  8. Because they're advising more than one relevant party at any one time, it could be said they're driving individual issues. At the very least they have too much interest. For example, we have one thread on here with two different users both advised by MH. MH are the ones deciding the response from each user so while of course the user has their input, MH are effectively forming the narrative. Not saying I'm correct, just offering another way of looking at it...
  9. Sorry to interrupt but isn't the point (to a degree at least) that MediaHouse appeared to be the ones all too often deciding the strategy given they worked with so many of the relevant parties. In effect they were driving the narrative from a range of angles as opposed to just the one. And they still are. It's like me replying to my own post under a different user-name - rather underhand and mischievous.

I think it wouldn't surprise me to be honest. I know ex-players often ask for a lot of extra 'expenses' for attending similar events so it's hardly a new thing. But, as always, this type of thing can grow arms and legs out of simple misunderstandings so people should be careful of what they say in the absence of genuine facts.

I assume NARSA asked the club to comment on this? While I'd have no issue with NARSA picking up the tab for the club captain, there's no way in hell he should be asking for further recompense. If he considers it a duty that he needs to be effectively paid to do then if he wants others to accompany him (be it friends, family or his agent) then that's his prerogative and costs. However, McCulloch has apparently denied this and at least one person has also told me the same story about Wallace so I'd be wary of taking this at face value as it stands.

Yes, Gersnet is run by admin and we do remove threads but very rarely indeed and we certainly don't have any agenda. Not sure what point you were making about proxies? Generally we used to ban/remove posters who used these because of security issues but I don't think we enforce that as much now because they're so common and so difficult to police.

Just a guess but because no-one had posted about it?

  15. The appointment of JT was certainly somewhat strange - especially when we consider the influence of MediaHouse. I think working in PR at RFC must be one of the most difficult jobs in football. Day-to-day firefighting, fickle fans and a story that seems to change by the hour means I certainly wouldn't fancy it. Doesn't help when the club are often the ones causing much of the hassle! To be honest, I think we could have stuck a Max Clifford or an Alastair Campbell in this job and they'd also struggle to affect proceedings.
  16. I wonder if this guy will be given as much media time as the likes of Les Gray of Hamilton for example.
  17. It's a no from me.
  18. Some more info: We are delighted to announce that the book will contain an exclusive interview with Lee Wallace on the events of last summer, his decision to stay with the club and his hopes and plans for the future. You can pre order the book via this link. We also speak to Rab Boyle of Rangers and Peter Smith of STV about relevant issues! Pre-order here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1908373687
  19. I'd rather we went for someone else to be honest. But considering our circumstances, he may be suitable enough.
  20. I'd prefer that you respected opposing opinions on this site please.
  21. I don't think there's much on that site of real note. If they had anything substantial they'd have used it by now and the papers would be involved. CG was dodgy in his dealing with Whyte but some will say he had to be. That's about the sum of it.
  22. Welcome folks!
  23. Rangers Retail Ltd has David Forsey as a director and he's been involved with Sports Direct for 14 years. Also Barry Leach who has been involved with a variety of different sports companies over the years. Not sure what is happening with Rangers Retail Ltd though since CG resigned at RFC. Stockbridge is also a director though.
  24. Absolutely. Does James still wine and dine Mr Whyte?
  25. So MD says. No reason to disbelieve him but I don't think we can criticise anyone for leaks when they're all at it (or at least have been).
