Play nicely please gentlemen...

The only ranking I'm interested in is ensuring we stay above them in the SPL table by 4 points tonight.

A very interesting story - silly kids but these are the kind of people Lennon appeals to via his own anti-social behaviour.

It's been that way for a long time now. Naive of me to expect an improvement but hopefully the new board may change things.

Even more amusing to think of yer average perpetually offended Celtic fan not knowing whether to laugh or write a letter to his MSP to complain.

Must admit I'd rather the chap Herron pressed Whyte on what he'd do if we lost the case. I'd fancy that question may be asked at the club AGM in the autumn though. Will be interesting to see how this event will be held.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JxzLR4tP35U For those unaware, Bridges is a Celtic supporting stand-up comedian. Imagine if Andy Cameron had stood up and rattled all those off? Celtic minded heads would be imploding across the country! :D

Just you concentrate on entering a new location under your user-name, MF... The King is dead, long live the King!

I genuinely hope so. He talks about commercial opportunities - well maximising our own TV station's profile is a good way to go.

Welcome to Gersnet mate! Hope you enjoy the site!

I'm a bit sceptical about Ally but he's been learning from one of the best in the business for a number of years now so he should know a few tricks. Indeed, he showed us one at Parkhead a couple of months ago. Ally's not quite as daft as he'd have us all believe. And he's one spawny bugger!
-
I wouldn't expect him to say anything else but hopefully we'll know a bit more by the end of next month.

All very interesting and the chap (though obviously uncomfortable in the media spotlight) certainly seem a determined bugger. As ever though we'll have to wait and see what meat he puts on the bones he's throwing us.

Rangers 4 - 0 Hearts - Player Ratings and MoM Poll

Papac currently in the lead on the main site. -
Whyte can make clear his intentions for positive dialogue immediately by revamping the way our fans are officially represented by the club.

Will Ian Black be punished for blatant kick at head of Jelavic?
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
The two incidents can be mutually exclusive. However, I agree the evidence doesn't help his case. -

It's great that we have so many players in contention for a change.... -

Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Of course he didn't. Obviously he meant to bring him down but he wasn't intentionally trying to bugger his season. He can't say the same this time - he tried to kick the player in the head which is extremely dangerous. -
Will Ian Black be punished for blatant kick at head of Jelavic?
Frankie replied to Frankie's topic in Rangers Chat
Black actually drinks in my local and is a decent lad for the most part... I might invite Nikica down for a pint one evening and let them sort it out in the car park. I know who'd win! -
Solid home win against Hearts at Ibrox means Rangers are now just two wins away from a third consecutive SPL title. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=411:rangers-4-0-hearts-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 :sp: I don't think Papac has had a great season and his attitude/form lately has been suspect. However, like a few players on Saturday he was at the top of his game and showed he's still worth a new contract in the summer. Nods of appreciation to Edu, Davis and Lafferty who also played well. Jelavic is just a joy to watch - on a different level at times.

That's true but, with the benefit of hindsight, I'm more angry at him for the first 10 years. Of course 9IAR is something we will all remember forever but his short-term outlook and failure to invest long-term in our future while we had good income streams is his biggest failing looking back for me. The last 10 years have been full of crap but he will point to maintaining our competitiveness on the park as evidence of his continued success. Fair enough but when you add in fiscal risks, poor supporter relationships and other issues then it only shows him to have been a mediocre custodian as opposed to the legend he should have been.

I'd consider myself reasonably neutral when it comes to SDM. I think he did a lot of great work for this club but a few mistakes and gambles have resulted in his tenure ending in a negative fashion. Therefore it is difficult to blame anyone for criticising the latter part of Murray's reign in particular. As for 'direct pipelines to knowledge' well that's not really fair. A few of us on the forum (mods or not actually) do have certain people they may trust to have 'inside' info' on the club. Sometimes such info is accurate - other times it's not. Mainly though the information is worth discussing out of interest at the very least. Similarly, a few of us have worked directly with SDM in the past so are able to make further learned judgements from that. That's not to say these judgements are wholly accurate though. Finally, your accusation that attempts at discussion are deemed un-Rangers like I'm struggling to understand. Even though you've only been on the forum for a couple of months, I'm sure you've read a wide variety of posts and opinions on any given subject - not to mention the articles the main site publishes. Just because an admin or mod may have a specific opinion doesn't mean the site does per se or that discussion is not permitted. To be absolutely clear all discussion and all opinions are welcome on this site - as long as they are conveyed in the spirit of mature debate. Disagreement is healthy and any website would be a boring place if everyone agreed or mods didn't encourage debate.

I think he started very well but his lack of pace means he's not an option for the Scottish game. In saying that, you can usually see his obvious quality on the ball and his set-pieces are normally pretty good. Generally though he wouldn't be worth the money.

Aye, why not mate! CHEERS!
