  1. The lad Iniesta is the organiser - helped by FF in the first instance. I'm not sure what they are doing any different to what has happened already - i.e. banners and songs at a game. Surely there is more to offer than that?
  2. This all seems a bit unplanned and hasty. More information required please.
  3. Agree with all of that mate...
  4. Excuses, excuses...
  5. Some time today would be good fannybaws... Weekly newsletter awaits your fine prose...
  6. SSN would cover a protest if the high heid yins were involved... I've seen DE, SS, FM and MD all on there lately commenting on a range of issues.
  7. An initial protest next week is fair enough but if it isn't organised well in this time-frame, and if it fails, then further movement thereafter would be difficult to gain more support. The game being on TV isn't a huge thing for me. If a protest is organised properly, then media coverage would be inevitable of it if it is backed by the right people.
  8. I'm glad he didn't mention a protest at this stage as I think there are several stages to go through before organising this - the Hibs game perhaps being too early IMO. Mainly because while I don't think anyone doubts the intentions or good faith of those who offer the rumours but if the online community can't agree on this and if those involved can't deal with the valid concerns of those dubious about the information circulating, then any protest won't be as successful as it could be. Thus, If I were organising this I'd do the following (and I appreciate it isn't easy and would take time): 1. Get in contact with every fans group/website/forum in a friendly, open fashion informing them of my intentions. 2. Gauge support from each of them - even if it is in a partial sense. 3. If support is widespread enough (and I think it is), I'd go to the consortium with this information (positive and negative feedback) and see how they'd use this. 4. If they back any protest movement (a single protest isn't enough); I'd look for them to help bring credible people to front the campaign - high net worth fans, ex-players, former club staff, fan group leaders and even website owners may be considered so every base is covered. 5. If such credible support can be found, organise a flyer drop for an upcoming home and away match. Accompany this with information in the media - paid adverts are possible. 6. Continue the momentum from this publicity with a rally somewhere which hundreds of fans can attend (Partick Burgh Halls is ideal). Ensure the credible people attend - even tacitly if necessary for their reasons. 7. Decide further strategy from there - including a match-day protest which would then have maximum possible backing from the best possible initial strategy. Any protest should not be rushed and it has to be part of a wider, well organised strategy free from bad feeling.
  9. I didn't hear DE so did he back the protest on behalf of the supporters organisations? Nothing on their website so just wanting to check...
  10. Are the RST, the Assembly and the Association backing this protest? If so, how do they intend going about uniting the fans/getting the message out?
  11. RM is smaller than FF but i think it is pretty obvious it does have the kind of numbers worth taking note of. On raw membership figures, FF accounts for more than half of the online community which means it is still the most important forum out there in terms of influence. However, it is only one forum and a cursory look across the other main ones out there show opinions can differ in a reasonable sense. I think for any call of unity to be successful, people have to see past the vocal minority on any forum who may be less constructive to seek the true feelings of the online supporter. Then, the hardest task of all, persuading the offline fan to become 'politically active' can be examined as we're all in the minority then when it comes to online and offline fans.
  12. Exactly....
  13. Sorry to hear that - hope he gets better soon.
  14. What I would say about the strikers debate is that St Johnstone opened up after about 60mins which left a lot more space for Naismith and Little to operate in. It also wasn't a coinidence that's when Fleck got into the game after being out of it before then. Our players have to work a bit harder off the ball when opposition teams are defensively minded.
  15. Renewing my season ticket is definitely something I'll be considering carefully over the coming months... It won't be done immediately as I usually do anyway.
  16. What Bluedell said. Gersnet remain committed to unity and have called for such many times and have already attempted to involve everyone before in addressing the issues at our club. It goes without saying that we remain open to any cross-community initiatives.
  17. Nothing to hide here. We're proud of who we are!
  18. Because, late last year I filtered the membership into inactive and active members. Obviously, from that we have around 3 times as many inactive members as those who do post regularly. I think I posted something a bit more analytical on this last year. PS: Since I did this our registrations have went up and bmck will confirm our hits for December and January in particular are breaking records for us when compared to previous years. The main site in particular is doing very well.
  19. Go for it mate...
  20. Complete agree with that. Felt he rushed it and it was a poor effort.
  21. Hoopy Hoody was probably banned at some point - hence the points penalty. The rest of us compile them on a forum participation basis - posts, threads, thanks, groans, polls etc all earn you points.
  22. Thought Lafferty was pretty poor but wasn't helped by a lack of decent service. He disappeared in the 2nd half completely and we improved markedly with the addition of Naismith and Little up front as Novo was also poor.
  23. I think BD is suggesting if Lloyds/HBOS are NQ's bankers they may have contributed to King being taken off the ownership issue in recent weeks.
  24. I literally have no idea.
  25. The plot thickens... :box:
