    Unfortunately, developing then selling on our best youth players at a substantial profit is one of the few models we can follow nowadays. I don't mind this as long as the profits are put back into the club and players are not sold at the wrong time.

The National team has not competed in an international tournament in 12 years and will not be in South Africa for this summer�s World Cup, with George Burley sacked for overseeing that unsuccessful campaign. Rangers and Celtic failed to make it out of their groups in the Champions League and Europa League respectively whilst Scotland�s other representatives failed to even navigate the qualifying rounds. The recent poor performances in Europe of our league clubs may, in the worst case scenario, see the league champions (likely to be Rangers) needing to negotiate the qualifying rounds if we are to have a Scottish representative in Europe�s premier club competition.     If we win the SPL title and secure CL Group Stage qualification, I see absolutely no reason for the funds from the likely Bougherra sale to be used to buy new players. The only way they wouldn't is if the bank demanded the terms of their loan/debt repayment were changed and I doubt that would happen.

    Must admit I have niggling, unsubstantiated doubts about the ability of McCoist to manage our club but Walter Smith will know better than me given my doubts are probably misplaced simply because of the outgoing personality of Ally.

    I'd imagine YNWA would climb quicker because Celtic fans will be aware of the tactics we've used so followed them easily.... It will be slower going for them now.
