  1. The plot thickens... :box:
  2. I suggested something similar a couple of weeks back only to be shown an article he had written the same day... However, he certainly appears to have been taken off the ownership issue which is interesting in itself.
  3. Of course they're crap - they play for Celtic! Although they are loans, they still bought their services via weekly wages and payments to clubs.
  4. Muir wants to get as much money for the bank as possible. I doubt even he would want to sell assets for less that they could get in the summer. The McGregor deal was a loan and didn't guarantee a sale.
  5. You're right Danny. Killie were just as dangerous as Celtic were. Both were crap.
  6. Thanks for clarifying that...
  7. Either Dave King or Paul Murray would be the best ones as they are non-execs anyway...
  8. Suggested as much earlier. That really would put the cat amongst the pigeons.
  9. Which is exactly the point of the poll: to show poor organisation and objectives would not work. Any protest movement needs clear and credible leadership and given I've posted this poll across three different forums without clear support for it, without that it would be doomed to failure.
  10. Basically, an animated gif would do the job but I'm afraid I don't have the time at the moment to create it.. Don't think it would be too difficult to achieve for someone with the right software and skills.
  11. Good to see you're involved there mate...
  12. Credible information on the plight of our club is hard to find amongst the hearsay and rumour we read across the online community. However, once again our club's manager has saw fit to comment on what he sees as a worrying and bleak future for our club under the guidance of Lloyds Bank. No matter whether it is his place to do this, the fact he is commenting again should concern every Rangers fan. What is also clear is that the support should be entitled to know more about the status quo - more so season ticket holders who continue to be the sole biggest investors into the club year after year? The chairman saying one thing, the manager another and alleged sources close to any potential buyer(s) also contributing to the debate; means the conflict of information for Rangers fans is unacceptable. As such, while protest is something that isn't agreeable in the first instance for most people I'm sure, perhaps more direct action may help us find the transparency required for us to make up our own mind. If we're to protest (and to be clear I'm definitely interested in doing so), it needs to be well organised, include all the fan groups, all the websites and have a clear strategy. If possible (and I appreciate that is difficult) it also needs a credible focal point that the 'non-politically active' fans can identify with. Do that and the chances of success are greater. Therefore, as an empirical judgement of intent, I'm interested to see what Gersnet members think. Please take a minute or two to take part in the following poll.
  13. The conflict of information now coming from these allegedly 'in the know' posters is also not helping. Poster A says the club is worth so much. Poster B says it's actually much more. Poster A says a new bid is imminent. Poster B says that isn't going to happen. I'm glad the protest thread was removed, I assume because MD wants to discuss such a strategy with his Trust/Assembly peers first which make sense to me. If we're to protest (and I'm definitely interested in doing so), it needs to be well organised, include all the fan groups, all the websites and have a clear strategy. If possible (and I appreciate that is difficult) it also needs a credible focal point that the non-politically active fans can identify with. Do that and the chances of success are greater.
  14. Rangers move into final of the League Cup with comfortable victory at snowy Hampden. http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/2010/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=206:rangers-2-0-st-johnstone-player-ratings-and-mom-poll&catid=35:analysis&Itemid=67 :sd: again for me but honourable mention for :lm: who did a lot of the spadework to ensure victory.
  15. In that case, I'm unsure what any protest could achieve at this stage?
  16. To be honest, allowing the Rangers manager who needs to be concentrating on managing our team to a vital SPL title to do their dirty work is disappointing. if Dave King wants to buy the club and wants our help, time for him - or someone he can appoint - to stand up.
  17. All the more reason for these alleged buyers to come out and lead publicly...
  18. It will be the pastel orange ST colour obviously...?
  19. Obviously I wasn't being serious... However, the fact this is the 2nd time in just over a year that it has happened to DB and the latest in a line of incidents affecting the safety of Rangers players, suggests something a bit more sinister than an one-off incident. As such, special treatment should be found even if, like you say, it may be almost impossible to find the culprit without an informant.
  20. Or maybe a near neighbour about 2 secs away is in cahoots with a famous local jeweller in an insurance scam...?
  21. He's doing very well mate. You'll see him on RM more than here but generally he's hardly online as he's too busy with his Moni Malawi charity. In fact he's just back from a very successful fortnight over there.
  22. Well, I'm no captain of industry like these people so one can only hope they are playing hard ball successfully. I'm sure they're confident of their strategy. As already posted, I can't comment accurately on their plans for the club until they speak publicly about them.
  23. The loan players especially will definitely ensure their wage bill has risen IMO but the Keane payments are allegedly coming from the silk purse of Mr Desmond so that may help them somewhat if true.
  24. rbr: I'll defer to my accounting peers on here but I'd have thought the cost of the club goes up the longer we stay successful. Sure, the bank may want out now but a slowly recovering economy, a slowly recovering commercial property market and a slowly recovering Rangers FC may see them think they can get their full value by sitting on the club - especially if we win the SPL. What is certain, leaving the fans to make their mind up on the good guys and bad guys via drip-feeding speculative information on forums isn't agreeable. More and more people are seeing that though so we can only hope those that observe on their behalf are reporting back as such. I notice the drip-feed tap was turned up a bit yesterday but more credible documented information is respectfully requested.
