  1. MF: Nope, not all other sites were invited to run it. But they are more than welcome to take the questions and do so if they like. I'd have hoped most people would have seen the survey when it was released on NewsNow and taken part that way but appreciate that's definitely not an ideal solution to ensure maximum take-up. I asked RM yesterday because I use that site on a daily basis. I don't really use any other site nowadays (although I still read Gersforums and FF occasionally) so didn't approach them for input. I'm doubt those two sites would have been interested anyway. Like I say, other sites are more than welcome to ask the same/similar questions and submit their answers to me if they want them collated together with the Gersnet/RM results.
  2. Mate, The survey was posted on the main site (and NewsNow) so it wasn't limited to Gersnet members. Another site has also posted the survey with nearly 50 responses over the last day - the answers being pretty similar so far.
  3. Might well be Craig... Luckily for you I doubt many of those people will be looking for you to renew them for you...
  4. I agree - hence the reason for trying to pro-actively obtain some feedback. Of course it shouldn't be small unofficial forums doing this kind of thing but it's interesting nonetheless. You're obviously interested in the subject. Why not write us an article on what kind of organisation you'd like to see?
  5. No, not selective sampling.... The survey was posted on the main site and anyone could vote. Perhaps some read it wrong and thought it meant 'have you been an active member' as opposed 'are you currently'...? Remember, generally speaking, Trust members are perhaps more of the committed fans interested in representation so such a survey on the wires might attract their online members. 40 out of 1000+ members isn't too out of synch considering the poll is aimed at such people and many Trust members (past or present) are active online.
  6. 68 people isn't a great number. Unfortunately, despite the survey appearing on NewsNow, we can't force people to take part. It does give some interesting answers though - in an empirical sense as stated clearly at the outset - which are worth discussing. Another site (RangersMedia) has also today published the survey with around another 40 responses so far so that takes us over 100. The survey was done more to gauge general opinions rather than take some sort of scientific poll to minute levels. I'm comfortable enough with the results and can only lament that the official organisations involved seem incapable of organising something similar in order to achieve improvement in the area. Gersnet is always looking to catalyse debate and the last year has seen supporters' representation stagnate for disappointing reasons so we hoped a simple survey would perhaps awaken some people from their comfort zones. At least we can say we tried.
  7. That's true but unfortunately Sony don't seem to interested in providing any... And that new user F_rankie would probably win anyway...
  8. Tonel and Stranzl both interest me but as has been said we must move on fringe players before we sign new ones.
  9. Going by the number of entries, I may have to allow mods/admin to win prizes... Really surprised by the lack of interest actually.
  10. Bump... Still very few entries for this excellent competition. Expected a lot more pm's.
  11. I've no problem with the club finding ways of raising funds. But, as usual, it's the fans having to fork out for the privilege of watching a friendly. Not for me.
  12. Well said cal..
  13. Right, comfortable beds are now banned because they cause back problems amongst the workforce. Now, you've to sleep on a hard wooden floor say the government and the police will enforce this new law. "That's fine", says Gazza!
  14. Really am astounded by that. You really think the proletariat are incapable of challenging what they feel are unfair issues and should bow to any instruction placed upon them?
  15. Onto the final part of our supportersââ?¬â?¢ representation debate ââ?¬â?? this week weââ?¬â?¢re analysing the results of our simple survey and taking the conclusions from them in conjunction with the comments from Jim Templeton and John MacMillan. Please note 68 people took part in the survey and weââ?¬â?¢ll represent their answers to each question as a percentage. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=721&Itemid=2
  16. So, the authorities tell you to stop drinking beer tomorrow... - itself something that causes more problems in this country than famine chants. Do you do it? Or do you challenge such a ruling?
  17. Price isn't confirmed but while I've probably inflated it to a degree, I wouldn't be surprised to see a fee of around that figure.
  18. Sorry those examples don't apply to this issue. In this case it is valid to question the coverage and interpretation of this 'song (actually a four sentence chant) and deem it inaccurate enough to challenge the attention placed upon on it. Similarly, one must also ask why other songs don't have the same attention placed on them.
  19. = £40 per ticket No thanks.
  20. Do you do everything you're told to Gazza? Or, just sometimes, do you question coverage and interpretation and deem it inaccurate enough to challenge?
  21. No doubt about it brother...
  22. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=720&Itemid=2 As usual we have all the latest news from the Rangers Youths via Elfideldo's blog. Keep an eye on his excellent site for all the latest news which is also posted here as soon as we have it.
  23. Unfortunately BD and MF are correct. We have no money to spend and unless we move on several players for reasonable cash, we'll struggle to afford anyone - let alone Berra and Driver.
  24. It's my 32nd birthday on the 30th so I too am looking for an early birthday present with a sound victory over Celtic. First off though we have a difficult match against Hibs and, as seems to be the case with most games right now, we have no reason to be overly confident.
  25. Excellent follow up mate... I watched the game in a friend's house at the weekend and actually thought we played reasonably well. Unfortunately, we had an unacceptable few minutes just after half-time and that cost us again. Terrible defending from Davis, Whittaker and McCulloch while McGregor could also have done more to cut out the crosses IMO. Other than that we played well at times and certainly should have done enough to win the game. One continually asks the question about motivation and character of this team. Attitude is awful on occasion and only the manager can explain why.
