I believe that's true but let's not speculate please.

Davis' mother has now died unfortunately... All our thoughts go out to Steven during this difficult time.
  4. I remember two hand balls from the game on Saturday... One was on the Aberdeen left-hand side when a cross was put in and it struck the defender's hand. Clear penalty as the fella's hand was raised in the air. The Considine one wasn't a pen IMO. Just like Barry Ferguson in the CIS Semi last season, ball played man and there was no intent. Never seen the elbow but suffice to say the officials were very poor again. Diamond gets away with murder and the Aberdeen fans disgust any decent person while making a mockery of the Unacceptable Conduct 'rules'. PS: I think Celtic are a certainty to win tonight.
  5. Too true Cammy... It's difficult to absorb negativity sometimes but while we seeing the bad side of things, we have to be realistic as well. The facts are Rangers FC are now second best in Scotland. That is unacceptable.
  6. I'm sure it can't be easy taking unfair criticism and wrongful accusations on the chin. I'm also equally sure Murray has had worse things to deal with in his life. It goes with the territory and he's no angel himself. The article above is is valid, fair and pretty accurate I'd say. So let's analyse the content of that instead of the rights and wrongs of supporter opinion.
  7. To be fair, sometimes direct attention placed on Murray is the only thing that catalyses action from him. We all want to be positive about the team and the club but it's proving difficult when we're unsuccessful and our chairman prefers to insult his own supporters instead of concentrating on the vast majority who follow loyally.
  8. I'd much prefer we kept personal thoughts to ourselves please... Disagreement is healthy but let's do so via making our point instead of worthless stuff that is irrelevant to the debate.

I think it's actually Davis' mother that is ill and affecting the lad's match preparation.
  10. I didn't blame Adam only. I just said he was a good example of that inconsistency. And he is. But of course he's far from the only one. Only a few players have shown it in recent seasons. Usually they're sold on and we're left with the tried and tested semi-failures. Like I say, we can all see Adam's good points. Unfortunately, more often than not they're outweighed by the bad. The problem is that instead of ensuring we can replace him via signing a suitable new player we waste the money on players that appear no better or lack the same loyalty/belief from the manager.
  11. Of course his ego is problematic but it's also the one aspect of his personality that results in action. I'm also more than aware of his faults - hence the article - but we have to maintain our realism. He's tried to sell the club. No-one is interested. As such, he's going nowhere for I'd say another 2 years at least. Thus, we can sit back and moan. Or we can continue to apply whatever pressure we can to improve the status quo.
  12. As far as I'm concerned, Adam isn't good enough. Yes, he shows the odd glimpse of talent and yes, he's given us the odd solid game. But, like many players he simply can't achieve consistency, full-fitness and genuine quality. In fact, I'd say it's because of our continual reliance on players like Adam that we haven't won the title in three seasons. Harsh? Perhaps because he isn't to blame for all our woes but he's the perfect example of the questionable attitude and unacceptable inconsistency that blights our club.
  13. In actual fact the title is in relation to the final sentence... Of course his era has been dominance then failure. Unfortunately, as we both know, he's going nowhere so I'm trying to appeal to the one thing that may just have a spark left to affect change. His ego.
  14. One may have expected a Gersnet article before now on Sir David Murrays 20th anniversary of owning Rangers. However, this event was always going to be given huge coverage so I felt Id wait and let the usual media spin lose its effect before making my own contribution. After all, people like Young, Traynor and even Spiers were never going to be the most objective of commentators, so criticism would always be minimal to ensure the next interview or exclusive would be retained. Thus, Ill try and retain objectivity while being able to make conclusions without worries about losing journalistic perks. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=710&Itemid=2
  15. All the flowery language and verbosity in the world doesn't disguise the fact that the fella just doesn't have anything worthwhile to say. It's the faux intellectual equivalent of playground name-calling. While, Graham, sticks and stones may break my bones...
  16. Peterhead v Stirling Albion http://peterheadfc.co.uk/video.php?match_id=63 Bring back the orange ba' Still some better football than at our game
  17. It is strange that Spiers is happy for Celtic to be a symbol of Catholicism but Rangers fans wanting any Protestant tradition are somehow holding the club back?
  18. Aye, I know that looks strange but I felt Ferguson did more to deserve it even if McGregor helped win the game with that vital save. Boyd did OK - win his fair share of headers to no avail - but wasn't as effective as some other players. JCD was equally good/average in fact.
  19. Elfideldo's report: http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=709&Itemid=1
  20. http://www.gersnetonline.net/newsite/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=708&Itemid=1 Probably give it to Ferguson I think. PS: If these aren't online after the game within a few hours, anyone else is welcome to post their ratings. Doesn't have to be me... :box:

    The Sheep

The songs they sing are continually a disgrace. They are today's Sun about the video of them singing to a disabled fan after the game. But only on page 27. They also sang about Ian Durrant and David Murray during the game itself. Vile, vile people.
  22. BD doesn't have high standards right enough....
  23. I bet he was a good looking fella...
  24. Buy now via the other thread... Badges are superb and the t-shirts quality.
  25. Aye, ok then... St Joseph's maybe.
