  1. Tav for me, the guy just doesn't stop. Another brace, some great deliveries and driving runs. Proving all doubters wrong (I was one once) showing he can captain the side while delivering consistent high quality performances. I always thought at times the armband was too much weight previously for him and it seeped into his form at times. It think he's handling it all now.
  2. Not if he follows guidelines while on Int duty. He's now in the 'Rangers covid bubble' so as long as he doesn't go to any parties or play video games with one of his pals while there he should be fine.
  3. Disappointed not to see that game out. The Kent chance at 3-1 would have absolutely buried it but we should've managed that game out regardless. We learn from it and hopefully win at the weekend and finish this at Ibrox next week.
  4. Great win by the lads today. Wish we had put it to bed sooner but we never really looked in danger of conceding. It's another thing the players can tick off their list of things to achieve. Goldson was immense, thought Jack was buzzing and Aribo showed nice touches. Thought Itten equipped himself well despite being out of position. 2 to go until the break which a few probably need. Though not our best performance, our record is brilliant as is our goals against. This is an almighty foundation for taking the title.
  5. Of all the fucking clubs on the planet... Newcastle? This stinks!
  6. I went for Tav. There was a moment I spotted on away days on RTV where Alfie misses the chance after his poor touch beginning of the 2nd half. Tav comes over and picks him up off the ground as a good leader does. Tav is in his prime for me and he and Goldson are at times maligned but it if think about it, they're making an error of about 1 every 12 to 15 games which is remarkable consistency. Tav well on the way to being player of the year. He is the man to lead us to 55.
  7. My overall thoughts on the game, thought it was an excellent performance away from home. I think the biggest compliment I can put on the side is that I didn't really feel nervous throughout the game. I have confidence the team knows how to manage these types of games. We know how to keep the ball well enough at this level. I think if when we go up a level(last 32 of this comp or the CL) we'd have to improve though. We have a strong bench(Shirley on for Borna with little noticeable difference to the game) and we can make good changes such as Leon in for Hellander to give us a bit more pace at the back adjusting to the opposition. This result has been overshadowed by Roofe goal but let's acknowledge 2 things. Gerrards first away win in the group stages and we inflicted their first home defeat in 6 years where Seville, kings of this competition didn't achieve what we did. So fantastic by all involved! Roofe... My God what can you say? It's one of the best goals I've ever seen. Twice he wins a 50/50 showing heart and desire. Next he shows strength then he shows skill before he shows genius and execution. Oh and doing it in those conditions after just coming back from 2 months out with injury. That shot was so perfect when it hits the ground it touches the goal line after coming straight as an arrow. The keeper even ends up in the net trying to stop it which tells you his starting position wasn't actually that bad, it was more so how amazing the shot was. We must now recover, there will be heavy legs after that rain. Squad management is so key. I expect 3 or 4 changes for the Livi game where we must keep our foot on the throats of that lot.
  8. The treatment he was getting I thought maybe a dead leg. Surprised when he went off.
  9. Any international bear on here unable to watch on RTV? I'm just getting black screen and the audio. TIA.
  10. The Dims on twitter calling for popcorn teeth's head. ?
  11. Like us all I'm sure, I'm just so fucking damn proud and buzzing. Sure we all seen a few Turks on SM giving it the big "We're coming". Well, now you're going...home empty handed! Superb performance with 2 great goals that command respect for any neutral looking. I think anyone who aims unfair criticism at Tav going forward really should take a step back and remember. A fantastic performance again by the skipper who I think is hitting his peak. Yes, he is going to fuck up but his positives FAR outweigh the negatives and I'm delighted for him as much as any. Scotty Arfield, what can I say except I was wrong to think he was done. A class above at times. Playing with smarts, guile, confidence and swagger. Well done lads, you've made my Friday here in Melbourne absolutely brilliant and it's only 7.30am with me still having to do a hard day's graft at work. Don't care though, cause we are the people!
  12. Delighted for big Itten, seems like a popular lad with everyone congratulating him on his first. My boy Bassey did well. He's no Borna but he's a unit and a half. Can see his rawness in the posistionally he was caught narrow a couple of times but that's inexperience. Tav was brilliant, showed a real hunger today. Arfield showed his intelligence and shout out for Alfie, since he's got his head right his attitude has been spot on.
  13. Great half, we're playing some lovely football at times. Arfield is in the mood today, Well have no clue how to deal with his movement. Love us to get another couple and put out a real statement. Least case scenario, win the 2nd half!
  14. Very good result. They caused us issues but we expected that as they play very open but the defence and Shagger especially were great. We schooled a young opponent in how to play European football tonight and that's the real pleasing thing for me as we've seen it happen to us through the years.
  15. Very happy with the result and performance from the game despite a set back in the build up and a few during the match. Congratulations to the captain, 250 appearances capped with a goal was written in the stars. Hagi for me played well, had a hand in 3 of the goals I think. Davis was brilliant, 3rd game in a week and no slowing him down. Defence again, record is there's although we were a little lucky but you earn that. Clancy is an absolute disgrace, not just for the assault on Morelos, but there was a few times Kent was done in and Roofe too. The Morelos one was hard to watch. I noticed the boy had left one in right away but Clancy did not. Questions need asked by the club on this. Best I've seen Arfield in some time, looked a new player. For me he hasn't been right since 18/19 season. He came back from international into the 19/20 preseason far too early and looked jaded ever since except for a few games. Bassey I think will be a cult hero for us. When he went on the Aribo run I was out of my seat. Raw as anything but it'll be a fun journey to go on with this lads development. Overall, could've be more but happy enough with 4.
