  1. Tillman is largely being judged on what he does in up to 10 minutes in every game, which is sometimes impressive, but for the other 80 minutes he's often anonymous and ineffective. As someone posted elsewhere, Tillman is a luxury player and simply isn't a priority for Rangers at this time.
  2. There's clearly a player in both of them but it's very unlikely it will emerge at Ibrox. At the moment Rangers is in the business of stifling talent and dismantling confidence.
  3. No one played well. Yilmaz offered hope and perhaps King and Sakala too. Tillman was the wrong choice for the game we knew we would face. Kent, Morelos and Lundstram were woeful. Tavernier was a disgrace to the shirt. I don't want to hear any more lame defence about carrying injuries. Most could have made more effort on crutches.
  4. There has never been a credible voice for fans. Not one, ever. So-called fans groups have never sought to be a voice for all fans and have always pursued a narrow sectional agenda. Also, other than the AGM and as required by company law, the board has absolutely no obligation to communicate with fans. That it does so, however well or badly, is a sign the board accepts it is in everyone's interest that channels do remain open. Unfortunately, Club1872 has become a barrier to good communication and has only succeeded in making the board wary of open dialogue. Club1872 doesn't represent me or the vast majority of Rangers fans in any way at all. It only assumes to talk for those who are willing to pay for the privilege .... y'know, mugs.
  5. I hardly think start times are crucial in the point @buster.is making. He was right to identify these eight games as probably determining our season and the necessity of winning all our domestic league games. There were 15 points to play for and after one game we've already dropped two of them. Of the remaining four games, I think we will need a minor miracle to get full points.
  6. Rangers 2 Aberdeen 2 FGS - Colak
  7. It’s a relief not to have conceded another barrow load but our failings laid bear yet again. And a dreadful commentary team too.
  8. We worked hard there to ensure no one challenged the goal scorer. Not easy when you have 7 players between ball and goal.
  9. But any one of them would be an improvement. Our captain is a walking disaster.
  10. I don’t care if he’s carrying a real injury, a fictitious injury or no injury at all, Tavernier needs dropped.
  11. Is he actually injured?
  12. Stupidity from Lundstram for his booking. But we do seem to have found a LB who can defend. Two-nil down feels like an achievement
  13. Tillman is wondering around like a disinterested bystander. He must find a way to get into the game
  14. Everything we feared. Still, only 70 mins to go
  15. I’ve been in the new Allianz stadium, just wondered I’d the old one was still standing
  16. Tav at it already, giving the ball away
  17. Has Stadio delle Alpi been demolished?
  18. I'd rather see it in the central reservation on Edmonton Drive, facing the main entrance. Big granite plinth, life-size bronze statue.
  19. I don't think there's beefy tackle in the entire squad.
  20. Balogun made 28 appearances in his first season and 37 in his second season which, since he wasn't always selected when available, is hardly someone who had major availability issues. He also deputised for Tavernier at right back when we had no replacement. I'd also point out that none of our players were "entirely reliable" in defence and, for my mind, Balogun was no worse than any other. In any case, he's gone and QPR seem to be getting the best out of him. I still think it was a mistake to let him go.
  21. Recent CL games suggest we don't have too many of those. Releasing Leon Balogun was such a shit decision.
  22. 🤣 It's not an important issue as far as new investment is concerned. Which I think is what I said.
  23. In that case you really have to play Arfield ahead of Sakala in midfield, or find some other way to provide cover for Tavernier and Barisic, both of whom will get totally overrun tonight.
  24. No, not at all, I'm all for direct dialogue but recent RSA criticism has hardly been comparable to the long campaign pursued by Club1872 on behalf of a former chairman. There's criticism and there's criticism, if you're going to pursue dialogue then there should at least be some expectation of a sensible exchange of views.
  25. FPP is largely a non-issue for Rangers, a distraction, certainly as far as new investment is concerned.
