  1. Anyway, this Oboforrk, what's his position?
  2. Steven Davis by some distance. Also special mentions for Patterson, Helander, Aribo, Kent and Greegs.
  3. I thought Kamara gave the ball away more today than the feast of the season in total. Very strange.
  4. Been very impressed with Helander so far. Paterson a revelation. Just don’t concede early after the break.
  5. Of course it does. I’ve done it every week for the last year. Besides, anyone who doesn’t use a vpn platform for ALL internet connections is ignoring the best security defence option.
  6. Aw come. There comes a point when grumpiness for the sake of it is just boring and pointless. The fact is we can see almost every Rangers game for a modest charge .... and every penny goes to the club. You can even use the club’s partner vpn provider. What’s not to like?
  7. A tenner to see a game against Celtic seem great value to me.
  8. It's the right opposition and continues a fine tradition. I wonder if it will be for the Kudela Cup?
  9. Made me realise how much we all need to get back there.
  10. Rangers 2 Celtic 2 FGS - Kent
  11. Anyone doubting the importance of the manager needs only look at the way Darrel Clarke has turned Port Vale from a team hurtling towards relegation and exit from the EFL, into the best run of results in the English leagues. And it turned around almost the minute he arrived in February. It always impresses me how a new manager can transform the same squad of players.

    Brandon Barker

Personally, I think Barker has more than enough to be a useful part of this Rangers squad. The challenge for Gerrard is finding a way to instil enough self-belief in him so that he shows it on a regular basis. I'd persevere for another season.
  13. Absolutely brilliant and the very best of what we all want our club to be. (If you don't mind a small suggestion, don't put full-stops on the headstone)
  14. I think the qualifying stage will be extremely difficult, whatever players we have available. The success of recent seasons in reaching the group stages seems to have been turned by some into an unrealistic expectation.
  15. A friend in Oxford tells me Brandon Barker has been in devastating form for Oxford Utd and has been instrumental in rescuing a dying league campaign. However, I see he was subbed tonight after 8 minutes so hopefully it's nothing serious.
  16. I can't see him being at Easter Road for long. Wouldn't be a surprise to see Rangers show an interest.
  17. Like almost everything nowadays, what's sectarian, bigoted, offensive, abusive, etc etc is decided entirely by the self-appointed victim. In that context, trying to mount a defence by analysis of specific songs is almost as ridiculous as it's pointless. Effectively, the rules of the game go like this ... if I say I'm offended, I'm offended and if I say you're guilty of sectarianism then you're guilty of sectarianism. The words of songs are utterly irrelevant.
  18. Did I mention the role of self-flagellation in building ramparts of sanctimony?
  19. Yes, the uncomfortable truth that victimhood is the weapon of choice for every bigot under the sun and apparently it can be acquired quite spontaneously for the very best exponents of the he-said-she-said brigade. For grand masters like Haggerty ears need play little part. Where necessay, offence can be conjured up by imagination alone.
  20. Rangers 4 Hibernian 1 FGS Morelos
  21. Most of them would be back next day, realising how much they actually cherish the publicity.
  22. It's completely futile expecting social media companies to control who uses their platforms when anyone they ban can be back up and running ten minutes later with a new account. If you can't control user identities, you can't control their actions. Such control is definitely possible but users would abandon ship like snow off a dyke if they did and these are businesses, not social workers. Here's a tip. Social media is a cesspit of ignorance, hysteria and bigotry. If you put your hand in the fire you'll get burned and if you use social media you can expect to be abused. Whether you think that's good or bad, it's a reality. It's not in the interests of the providers to fix this problem, although they could, so either stop using it or stop being offended by what you know you'll find there. You can have control or you can have anonymity, take your pick.
  23. Another incredibly well-intentioned and utterly pointless gesture. It will certainly bolster the self-image of those taking part but it's beyond belief it will have any impact on those who perpetrate racist abuse. If we've learned anything it's that all the BLM hysteria, with thousands marching through our cities, and endless televised knee-taking has done nothing to eliminate racism - either on the football pitch or in the hidden cesspit of social media. Until and unless the social media platforms can restrict membership to personal rather than anonymous accounts and instantly ban those posting racist abuse, no amount of warm and supportive gestures will change anything.
