  1. If anything, it would provide Putin with more evidence that 'The West' is weak and unable to do anything worthwhile.
  2. Is that seriously the case?
  3. It's more about sporting merit than money. Scotland, Rangers and other sports teams or players shouldn't be punished for political situations outwith their control. It's also patronising to give the Ukranians a bye. Surely they want to give their compatriots something to cheer about by qualifying for the World Cup on the pitch (getting a bye isn't worth celebrating). In my opinion, it's even wrong to punish Russian athletes for the actions of their country's leader. I still hope Aaron Ramsey knocks us out. 😀
  4. Lowry undoubtedly has great potential. I'm not sure starting him week in, week out would be the correct thing to do...for him or for the team. It's worth bearing in mind that Hearts were hardly busting a gut in the last league match.
  5. Anyone know the odds for Shakhtar Donetsk or Dynamo Kyiv winning the 2022/23 Champions League? 😀
  6. Do people seriously think Ramsey might be back next season? We've parted ways. It's over. He's offski.
  7. I want £30m but that's not the way it works. Hagi might be keen to go and Gio might have preferred replacements. We'll see how it goes.
  8. And here was me thinking we could tempt Sadio Mane and Gabriel Jesus to Ibrox.
  9. It's too early for it to be obvious. There are videos of people trying to jump the gates (looks like locals and Liverpool fans). I'm certainly not going to stick up for UEFA but Liverpool fans have previous for trying to get in without tickets.
  10. The transfer window isn't open yet. I'm sure Rangers will have targets, for various positions, in place.
  11. I'm not bothered about the result. It's more the wider point of principle. If the war in Ukraine continues throughout 2022 and every country just forfeits their match against them, Ukraine would be World Cup winners without having played a match? Yemen must be worth putting some money on too.
  12. Me neither.
  13. So you want Scotland, who haven't been to a World Cup for 24 years and who've worked their arses off during qualifiers, to forfeit their chance to qualify because a foreign country invaded another foreign country? That's f*cking mental! 🤣
  14. What's so bad about it (that's a genuine question, as I've never been)?
  15. Some people were doing their bit but a lot of others were doing nothing at all. I'm not sure what's contestable about what I'm saying - anyone at the match experienced it and posts on various Rangers sites suggest it came across that way on the televised broadcast (I haven't watched any highlights myself). The UEFA ticketing set-up enables it and from what I've read, Rangers distribution of tickets was also questionable.
  16. You obviously weren't in the same section as me. I can only go on my own experience, craig. I know plenty of regulars who were there but the people around me were acting like big game hunters.
  17. Was there an opening ceremony? 😀 Always nice to see Wrexham lose - their supporters are smelly tramps.
  18. Good news indeed. What would you suggest Scotland or FIFA do instead?
  19. Diversity and Inclusion. Back to the match - the second half was a better watch. Tough on Liverpool but as soon as RM scored, you could sense it was going to be their night. BTW, how utterly preposterous was the pre-match Camila Cabello show!? That sort of music is for wee lassies, not football fans. Americanised nonsense!
  20. This final isn't great viewing. The commentators are annoying. The atmosphere reminds me of us in Seville - this is what happens when you fill a stadium with people who don't follow their team regularly.
  21. This situation is another example of football fans being little more than an afterthought for the governing bodies. Hopefully everyone gets in safely and gets to watch the match.
  22. I think I read something similar. We could've still worn our usual home socks though.
  23. I'd prefer us to have a white away shirt and a red third top. Black shirts are for referees.
  24. Bit of a late post on this but I was disappointed we chose to wear all blue in the final and wanted to see us in our traditional home shirt, shorts and socks. Not sure if UEFA would've allowed the white shorts but the black and red socks would definitely have been okay. Playing in all blue against a team in white didn't do us much good in 2008. Hopefully we ditch the all blue from now on. 🟦⬜🟥⬛
  25. Tough one to call. I think Liverpool are a better side but Real Madrid just have that thing...and Benzema.
