  1. Okay, smarty pants. I checked and the EPL kicks off on 6th August, which is two weeks after the match at Ibrox. You'd think a few first team picks will feature for Spurs, if that's the case...
  2. What sort of side are Spurs likely to field - will we see any of their main men? I usually restrict myself to one pre-season friendly and this one stands out, so far.
  3. The good thing about the club's recent transfer activity is it keeps the press guessing, due to the lack of available information. The bad thing about it is it keeps us guessing too. But I can live with that.
  4. Bit misogynistic. Any pics?
  5. I voted for Tav too but he has a tendency to go from 9/10 to 3/10, which is always a concern. He was outstanding on the EL run.
  6. The lads I often go to games with run a book on when the first, "For f**k's sake, Tav!" comment will be made (by any of us). It's usually in the first ten minutes.
  7. I think a lot of supporters expect an EPL player to turn up and coast it in the Scottish top flight, rightly or wrongly.
  8. Aye but investors might not want to keep investing, as they have done previously.
  9. Ukraine were the better side yesterday. Wales defended excellently and looked well organised, for the most part.
  10. We've done that with Morelos multiple times. 🤣
  11. I very much doubt we would reinvest the full amount into player recruitment, although that might depend on other sales. We saw plenty of Bears expecting the club to spend the full £12m we got for Patterson but that didn't happen. We're running at a loss and need to recoup more than we spend on players.
  12. If we get a £20m+ bid for him, it would fund a few new recruits. Our player trading model demands sales like that.
  13. I reckon we'll be looking at 2-3 big player sales over the Summer. Aribo, Bassey and Kamara are likely candidates.
  14. I'm glad Advocaat's team didn't think the game against Shelbourne was over at 3-0.
  15. Shelbourne in 1998, I think.
  16. "Defensively we were poor, it was three chances and three goals. You just can't give yourself a three goal mountain to climb. Then we're 2-0 down and then they score a third goal and the game's over. We can be in there at half-time and say believe in ourselves, and blah blah, but the game's over, you're 3-0 down, 3-1 down at half time.". Where have I misunderstood what was said?
  17. Admitting defeat to a rubbish Hibs side before the match is over is a bizarre thing to admire. It's where we're at, as a club.
  18. It's a shocking attitude from a Rangers player and from a fan. Never give in.
  19. Nope. I'm quite glad I never jumped on that bandwagon. Initially, I think he made mistakes because he expected more time on the ball but he has largely cut that out of his game.
  20. His comments after the Hibs semi didn't help his standing. I was annoyed at the time but in retrospect, I think he was just in the heat of the moment and not thinking straight.
  21. I'd quite like to see Lundstram's first half of the season versus his second half of the season stats.
  22. Take it you haven't watched Rangers much in the last couple of years? He's been one of our best players. I heard (from a good source) he'll be off this Summer but would be delighted if that's not the case.
  23. I recognise the league we play in and our financial circumstances mean we're not going to be signing any superstars. I think your expectations are unrealistic. Having said that, we should've won the league, so last season was far from perfect and there are certain players I'd rather we moved on.
  24. You're judging our defence on their worst performance of the season? That's ridiculous. Did Liverpool fans judge their 2020/21 defence on their hammering at Villa? Of couse not.
