Jack is a damn good midfielder but his constant injuries mean we should be looking to replace him, particularly if he wants to keep playing for the SFA XI. It's about Rangers, not individuals.

I always had the Rangers support down as quite a hardy bunch. Online viewings (over the years) have diluted that somewhat and now it seems we're full of flippin' drama queens. It's a football match, not a bake sale.

UEFA are c*nts. The Spanish Police are c*nts. Eintracht Frankfurt are c*nts. On top of what Bill mentioned, the toilet taps were turned off after 90 mins, so you couldn't even drink that (not that I would drink Spanish tap water but others were). i heard it was the Spanish Police, not UEFA, who knocked back the UB tifo. I'm always a big fan of people taking responsibility for themselves, so I made sure I drank plenty of water during the day but I'll admit, I was getting very thirsty and lightheaded during the match and was shattered by the end. Some liquid options would've been very useful.

Well, that was tough to take. I don't think we deserved to win the match but we could have and penalties is always a bit of a lottery, although probably not as much when the opposition are German. Definitely lots of one-off Rangers fans at the match and that, combined with the rather poor situation with refreshments after a day drinking in the sun, resulted in us being totally showed up by the Frankfurt support. One guy near me spent most of extra time looking at his phone... Unf*ckingbelievable! Sitting at a bus stop in Albufeira from 3.30-7.10am hasn't helped me - strange the things you see and people you encounter at that time in the morning. Sitting in Faro airport just now and can't wait to get home. We had better win on Saturday! No excuses.

Was just going through security at Gatwick and noticed Rob McLean behind me. We both got our bags pulled - me because my mini deodorant wasn't in the wee plastic bag... I'm not sure why Rob's was. Doesn't get much more glitz and glamour than that!

I've seen a few a bit annoyed by this but in Scotland, a player gets to visit Fir Park, Tannadice and Easter Road (as well as the fantastic surfaces at Livingston and Kilmarnock), whereas in Germany, every stadium is a belter and it's a much better quality of football. We're in a shit league. If I was a foreigner, the only thing that would entice me here is money and I think Union will be able to offer him more than Rangers.

I'm slightly more nervous about the travel issues (security, connecting flights and heavily relying on a taxi) than the match just now. Can't wait until Wednesday afternoon, when I arrive in Seville.
