The (H)Aribo thing was certainly a bit annoying. I thought he was played a bit too deep today and as a result was largely anonymous. Looked comfortable whenever he had the ball though. Nigeria beating Egypt lessens the chances of Aribo being back for our trip to the Piggery, I would think.

They were really poor last night. If Villa had had their shooting boots on, they'd have won that game. It doesn't matter if you've got Ronaldo, Pogba and Cavani, if you're playing them with Lindelof (sp?), McGuire, Rashford and Fred. Man Utd seem more interested in selling shirts than having a good team.

Stirling Albion, Livvy and Hearts are all at Ibrox in our next five fixtures.

I don't think the club can rely on CL money every year, so the buy low, sell high model is what's required. I still think the fee paid for Kent is above what we should be spending.

According to the red top rags: "Scottish football fan limits might NOT be lifted in time for Premiership return suggests clinical director Jason Leitch." Never saw that one coming. No doubt they'll change their tune in time for the Six Nations. I hope any Scottish Nationalist football fans are short-changed by this - they deserve it.

I was just looking at the fixtures for this (will stick on Nigeria to see how Aribo's getting on) and noted Comoros are playing. I feel a bit daft but I've never heard of this country. A quick investigation shows it's an island nation and the only member of the Arab League fully situated in the Southern hemisphere.

I've never liked Geordies (probably due to an incident at Haggerston Castle in the early 80s). I have even less time for Saudi Arabia. Hope they go down.

I think we could do better than Souttar, particularly in light of his injuries, although he has looked good when playing for SMNT. 😉

I was just disappointed at the gender specific nature of the USMNT references. Gender is fluid, isn't it.

Do we have to call them USMNT? He doesn't look like he'd get a game for (what is presumably called) USWNT, does he.

He seems to play RB, CB and DM, from what I've read. I'd imagine he's been brought in as back up/eventual replacement for Tav or Kamara but that just a guess.

We're a better side when Roofe and Morelos both play, in my opinion. They are both different types of forwards.
