  1. So we've only got two weeks left of Windass? Yipee!
  2. His life and particularly his tenure as Rangers manager in the mid 70s are truly the stuff of legend. When I read about him getting radios sent up trees, whilst serving in the far East, in order to hear the Rangers score, that was just incredible. My favourite Ranger of all time.
  3. I see Erdogan and the Turkish FA have come out in support of Ozil. This could grow arms and legs. As an aside, I'd have my pic taken with Melania Trump or Macron's missus, if they're available. ?
  4. Has someone got the number for the Samaritans for Rousseau? I'd be delighted to get anywhere near £3m for Windass.
  5. He's a keen football man. Maybe he just wants to get a better understanding of the Scottish game.
  6. The games against Shkupi were pre-season games against a diddy side. I wouldn't read too much into our performances there. I did note that one thing Goldson lacks is pace though. Gerrard will be forming ideas about the style he wants to play and who he wants to bring in.
  7. I hope they lose 20-0 and their manager ends up in a heap.
  8. There must be some hilarious jokes we can make about Celtc and grass/grass length/pitch complaints...?
  9. Heads of states have to be diplomatic to some extent. If they didn't meet other heads of state from time to time international relations would be (negatively) affected. Ozil is a citizen and doesn't represent anyone. It's up to him if he wants to go and meet the Turkish president. It's not up to the Queen or Theresa May whether they do it, they are obliged to do so. I suspect, like the Chechen President did with Mo Salah at the WC, Erdogan was just looking for good publicity and got it and Ozil has to deal with the backlash because Germany were hugely disappointing. If they had done well, we'd probably have heard nothing more of it.
  10. Weiss - good shout. Diouf, despite the drama he provided, didn't actually score a lot or provide many assists.
  11. When was the last time a loan player did really well at Rangers? I'm struggling to think of one. We need to buy a striker and hope the midfielders he's bringing in work well.
  12. Ozil's comments about being German when they win but Turkish when they lose reminds me of Scots who moan about about Andy Murray being British when he wins but Scottish when he loses. People will always look for a scapegoat in defeat and Ozil getting his photo taken with Erdogan and saying he has two hearts (one German and one Turkish) hasn't really helped him avoid that.
  13. Isn't this standard? A Rangers rep will replace Lawwell next.
  14. I doubt whether Steven Gerrard reads the forum.
  15. Any word if the first leg would be home or away?
  16. As long as Eggs Benedict isn't on the menu... ?
  17. Chris McLaughlin has all the charm of a mouldy corn flake.
  18. Aye, Pulitzer Prize stuff.
  19. Thursday's game is going to be on Premier Sports. Ch551 on Virgin.
  20. I need at least three 'house measures' of whisky before I can cope with Rousseau's adulation of Windass.
  21. I suspect the club aren't too bothered about taking huge away supports to the continent. The more difficult it is to get to places like Macedonia and Croatia, the less Bears will travel. The less Bears that travel, the less chance there is of any bother. Maybe I'm just a cynic...
  22. Any word on the game being televised? For anyone with Virgin, apparently Premier Sports is being added to the lowest bundle next week.
  23. I wouldn't be too sure about that. Shkupi were crap. Wait until we're 1/4 way through the league campaign before jumping to conclusions.
  24. We need a clinical finisher...but probably won't find one within our means. Which is why I hope we are looking further afield than England.
