Alexander unhappy with 50 per cent wage cut offer
chilledbear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Our critics in the media will have a field day with this. A player not walking away, then Rangers trying to half his wages. But there comes a time when we have to show financial prudence, I just hope those on the Board show the same when it comes to themselves. -
CAMMY BELL has clinched a four-year deal with Rangers.

That's the kind of thinking we don't need. Just wasting money. -
Ibrox or Auchenhowie?

I thought there was to be a review of the Youth System, and Murray Park as a whole. Any idea if things are in the pipeline ? Anyone?

How many Companies are there associated with Rangers?

I think Channel 4 will think him credible, and millions of others. -
Orlit Enterprises to seek winding up order against Rangers

Is this the reason Green and Murray are supposed to have fallen out ? -
It can be heartbreaking, some of us went through it with John Greig. We all wanted JG to succeed, just as we want Ally.

Unbelievable Rangers declined, I wonder who would make that decision? Surely it wouldn't be left to the Youth set-up to do this.

They are decent players, but are they up for a fight. Did they join Rangers thinking, better wages than the SPL and playing in an easier League.

I have been critical of our non shape/formation/tactics etc for months now, which must be laid at the feet of Management. But what type of player have we signed, the likes of Templeton, Sheils, Black, Sandaza, have all landed up at Rangers because of the money. You have to ask are they up for the fight, do they have the correct attitude and commitment. I would much rather have the likes of McKay or Crawford giving 100%, than watch Sheils playing well below his capabilities.

The following is news to me, and worrying. 'Word has it the chief executive is at loggerheads with his chairman, Malcolm Murray, and that their relationship has broken down. It’s likely that they will be forced to call a truce for the greater good and in order not to frighten the life out of those institutional investors who ploughed £17million into the coffers little more than a month ago. So the two of them will be told to limp on for a while, although probably only until the summer, but the fact that things have become so strained and so volatile in a brand new boardroom is another major cause for alarm. It could be that Murray, a long-standing Rangers supporter, is finding it increasingly difficult to recognise his own club in its current, angry guise. If so, who could blame him? Rangers are indeed a baffling business.' This sounds as if it has been given to Jackson on purpose.

That and Walter Smith.

Can we not plan for the future, things don't seem to be improving anywhere at Rangers.

I may be wrong, but even in the third division I don't rate Perry or Cribari. It's a worry that there is no spine in the team, centre halves, central mid and striker. Jig gives us a presence up front when he plays, and McLeod is a really exciting prospect, but at the back we are woeful.

. I've been saying it all season, someone has to take difficult decisions

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-21321562 The European Union police agency has found evidence of match-fixing of some top international football games. Europol head Rob Wainwright said it had carried out the biggest-ever investigation into match fixing in Europe and described the findings as a "big problem for the integrity of European football". Attempts to fix around 380 professional matches were identified, involving up to 425 match and club officials, players and criminals from more than 15 countries. These included qualification matches for the World Cup and the European championships, plus two Uefa Champions League matches, one played in England. Europol said the match-fixing generated £6.9m of betting profits in Germany alone - and there were corrupt payments of at least £1.73m to those involved.

Have to agree with a lot of the article. The football side is a mess.

The point is DU look as if they have some decent players. How much did they cost, and how much are they earning, compared to Rangers.
