Director of Football. I wonder what that job entails ?
-
I don't understand why he has put himself in this position. I cannot see Learner wanting to replace another manager in the near future, yet the fans don't want you. Talk about a rock and a hard place, I do wish him luck, if only to shut these AV supporters up.

Are we not doing the same for Chelsea ?

Kirk broadfoot claims he can fill rangers defensive gap
chilledbear replied to ian1964's topic in Rangers Chat
Broadfoot always surprises, Manchester last year, one of the best players on the park. When fit he will challenge for a place in the defence, and I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes first choice, whatever position he plays. -

Maybe should have stayed on holiday.

Did you have a nice one Keith?

I think Jackson has been fed this by someone with an axe to grind. This document has been on the Forums for 2/3 weeks. Why he has come out with it today is anyones guess.

If we were to get money for a player Boughera or SW, would that money be spent on other players, there are too many questions unanswered. As Frankie says until we actually spend, the rumours and doubts will continue.
-
Would still like to know where the money is coming from. Perhaps there will be a reaction from CW.
-
The Record asking the source of any transfer money.

I would say he is due something. He didn't get it because they couldn't give something to a sellic at the same time.

Rangers will open negotiations with the agents of Israeli striker Tomer Hemed and Crystal Palace midfielder Neil Danns within the next 48 hours as Ally McCoist seeks to make his first signings as manager. The Ibrox club will talk terms on a three-year contract with Maccabi Haifa forward Hemed’s representative Max Meltzer after deliberating over scouting reports on the player collated over the past two months. Danns also moved to the top of McCoist’s target list this weekend and the out-of-contract midfielder will be approached with an offer to snub Hull City and Southampton — and move to Glasgow. While McCoist has not seen Hemed in action, he has checked on Danns and liked what he saw in the 28-year-old who signed for Palace from Birmingham City for Ã?£600,000 three years ago. The industrious midfielder has also proven to be a goal threat, scoring 17 times for a struggling side in the past two seasons. He has rejected a new offer from manager Dougie Freedman to stay at Selhurst Park and Rangers hope to take advantage in the next few days. But Hemed could even beat Danns to a Murray Park medical visit this week if imminent discussions over his Bosman deal are successful. The striker, who earned his first senior cap in Israel’s Euro 2012 win over Latvia last weekend — as Ibrox coach Ian Durrant watched from the stands — is keen to move to Rangers despite an offer from Anderlecht. Sportsmail understands there were mixed views within the Rangers camp, after a series of spying missions, over whether Hemed was ready to become a first-team influence next season However, the attraction of capturing an improving international player, who is only 24, on a wage McCoist knows will be within his budget was considered well worth exploring. The manager has also been experimenting in other continents. He took in league and cup games in Argentina last week but, rather than being bowled over by any South American stars he watched, has returned home more determined than ever to secure the futures of key title winners. He hopes a meeting with owner Craig Whyte on Tuesday — at which McCoist should learn the precise figures for his close-season budget — will bring positive news on new deals for Steven Davis, Allan McGregor and Bursaspor target Steven Whittaker.

Another one I wont buy. What's wrong with the 60s market. Some buttons please.
-
'Meanwhile, Healy’s international team-mate Steven Davis is set to put pen-to-paper on a new long term deal at Ibrox'. That's the bit I like.
-
I think the ones demanding Walters head were mainly on the internet, please correct me if I am wrong [as if you wouldn't anyway]. I think it would take a lot, before Ibrox turned on Super Ally.
-
Was it last year or the year before, Ally was in the paper saying the way forward for Rangers, was buying young and selling on at a profit, perhaps someone remembers the piece. This could be reason for the South American trip. I must say I enjoy the Scots/Ulster makeup of the team, sprinkled with guys who are genuine Supporters, it has given us a spirit which has brought perhaps unexpected success over the last three years. I just don't know what to expect next season, a new manager usually means a settling in period, hopefully with the bulk of the players staying on, we will escape this. If we do not have 4 in a row at the end of the season, how will the fans react to AMcC, I hope he can be given time to put his stamp on the team. This may depend on the nature of our new owner, but then Ally probably knows this more than anybody.

The Postie been yet ?

From the Express 'The outcome of talks with captain Davie Weir when he returns from holiday next week will also influence McCoist’s transfer activity. The 41-year-old will be offered a new contract but will be told he won’t play every week'.

Hoping it was something like this.
