  1. It would do wonders for his value. Unfortunately I think the best case scenario for us on Rossiter is he goes to a League 1 side like Fleetwood and proves he well above that level and a Championship club come in with a bid in the summer. This is pretty much what seems to have happened with Docherty. Championship clubs scout league 1 heavily and trust it more than Scottish football imo because it's more easily comparable to themselves.
  2. Well it’s been a very quiet couple of weeks since the early signings. Hoping for another few signings, I’d settle for hot prospects like the Thistle kid. @craig, have you seen or heard of him at all at youth level? I suppose he’s skipped most of it given he’s playing 1st team football at 17.
  3. It's in games like the old firm that you see the value of those old fashioned qualities. Compare the £15m+ Porto target to Halliday that day and you'd never know one was valued so much more highly than the other.
  4. It's just bait from the betting companies, there no chance of that happening.
  5. The Daily Record have also linked us with 17 year old Partick Thistle attacking midfielder Aidan Fitzpatrick. By all accounts a hot prospect and Norwhich have apparently offered a 400k package for him. Not to stereotype but going by his name I wouldn't be surprised if he wasn't interested in joining us.
  6. Quite excited to see Kamara come in. His ability on the ball in the middle of the park will be very welcome. Shinnie apparently likely to join Wigan. I think on a free Shinnie would provide excellent cover at left back and centre mid but I think we'd have moved by now and I'm not sure he'd be keen with how much abuse Jack has had from that lot.
  7. Looks like Worrall will probably be recalled, but Gerrard and the club have been clever in playing him often enough to trigger a clause that means we need to be reimbursed our loan fee. https://www.nottinghampost.com/sport/football/transfer-news/martin-oneill-wants-joe-worrall-2433771
  8. Premier sports are rubbish. Bad app, bad website. I had troubling airplaying to my tv too. And a strict 1 device policy
  9. I think the much more traditional Martin O'Neill will fancy Worrall and want him back. Time will tell but I think it'll be a concern for Gerrard because he clearly rates him higher than most on here.
  10. Ravel Morrison has Northern Irish roots, he’s probably just following the club. He’d be an interesting one on a free in the summer but his compilation on YouTube from atlas last season reminds you of ejaria, does something sublime and then plays the most simple and pointless pass possible.
  11. I like having full backs and wingers but I actually think the wing isn’t our strongest position right now and with Defoe in the team it’s going to be very hard to justify playing Candeias/Kent ahead of him. I don’t think Kent is suited to the AMC role. He’s just not good enough at passing or shooting, he’s an out and out winger. It’s made for Murphy/Dorrans if they were fit. Until they are I’d prefer Arfield there with McCrorie the anchor and Jack pushed forward one. Having said that there would be times when you’d want the pace of Kent or Middleton to add that dimension to our play. In any case I’d certainly relish seeing us start a game with such an attacking lineup.
  12. You have to wonder why it seems everyone except those in the club knew about Football Manager during the 2011-2015 years. They bemoaned our lack of a scouting department and largely stuck to Sportscene scouting.
  13. I avoid HITC and the growing list of similar clickbait websites which fit your description but over the last few transfer windows I've found the Daily Record to be reliable.
  14. Really? The Daily Record reported the Bryson link. I think they're normally pretty reliable. Although in terms of the squad we have it would definitely be surprising.
  15. Hasn't been mentioned on here much but we're still being linked to Craig Bryson and Martin Skrtel too as well as Ben Woodburn. Not overly enthused by the first two due to age and wages. I haven't seen much of Woodburn.
  16. Aren't they making things more difficult than it needs to be though when all you have to do is go and buy the latest Football Manager? ? I still think Coulibaly is good at this role. He largely went off the boil when he was asked to play further up the field and predictably struggled. I blame Gerrard for that one I'm afraid. The silver lining is that as a result Coulibaly's value hasn't risen much you wouldn't think so I'd still consider signing him because he has a lot of ability a destroyer and is very young. I wouldn't say Kamara is a destroyer type from what I've seen. He's the opposite of Coulibaly, very technically gifted and strong in possession and even playing through balls. He has the ability to get into a tackle but it doesn't seem to be his strength. I seem him being a good player to have when we are at home and need our centre midfielders to be good in possession and creating something.
  17. As soon as I posted it I remembered he had northern Irish roots but I didn’t have time to go and look it up
  18. It’s a shame we never brought Dobbie to Rangers. 32 goals in 27 games at his age is incredible. What a guy.
  19. I think tiredness was used by our fans as an excuse for poor performances and a failing team set up. We only played one more game than the rest of our opponents in December (bar Celtic) who have far leaner squads than ours.
  20. Absolutely. When you think about how many international breaks there are too it’s really not necessary. Only makes for a very stop start league season.
  21. Gerrard apparently said incomings will be dependent on outgoings though. So far we've only managed to shift Herrera. There are still loads of players who should be moved on to free up, including Foderingham and even Wallace if we're not going to use him.
  22. Falkirk look like they are creating hardly any chances this season though so it's not easy to compare directly with Hardie. It must be frustrating for Rudden to be playing for a team who are so poor in the final third but he's certainly making the most of it.
