  1. Hahaha Bit of a bloodied nose for Celtic here. Serves them right though. McGinn would probably end up a bench warmer had he went to Celtic. Celtic have been notorious over the last few years for penny-pinching Scottish talents for far less than they are worth and then leaving them on the bench for the vast majority of their time. See Scott Allan (turncoat) as an example
  2. I'm praying he is alright. By far the best player on the pitch for us today but being wheeled into an ambulance defo doesn't sound promising to me.
  3. Actually feel bad for the guy. He's a former Aberdeen player himself and you could probably see that sort of abuse coming from a mile away. They really hate him now ever since he left them for us.
  4. People across Twitter now posting pictures of Ryan Jack leaving Pittodrie in an ambulance. This is getting beyond a joke now. How Stevie May managed to get away with that I'll never know.
  5. Honest to fuck, something needs to be done about the standard of the referees in this country. They are an absolute disgrace to Scottish Football. Excuse me if I sound a bit bitter, but I think we all have the right to be after that. Morelos should never have been sent off, it was a yellow card at the most. It was McKenna who instigated it by shoving his elbow into Morelos' face. He never even got a yellow for it, whilst Morelos got an overly harsh red. He obviously shouldn't have risen to it, he's far too easy to get to at times. However, knowing the SFA, they'll probably do fuck all about it. The most that'll happen is they'll rescind Morelos' red card. Still doesn't change the fact that shite referees cost teams points. We were the much better team on the pitch though, all Aberdeen did for the full 90 minutes was lob it as far up the pitch as they could. Very unfortunate to concede a late goal like that.
  6. Kyle Lafferty? Why are we even bothering with a has-been? I'd rather we went in for someone who is proven and has his career ahead of him tbh....
  7. Mbabu was that player that got loaned to us from Newcastle United back in the later stages of the that disastrous 2014/15 season in the Championship. He came alongside the likes of Haris Vuckic, Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson. Made 0 appearances for us and was a total flop but went to Young Boys in Switzerland and won the league with them for the first time in 32 years, finishing 15 points above Basel. Both Basel and Fulham have put in offers of £7m and £10m respectively although I believe that Basel had their offer knocked back. Brings Martyn Waghorn to mind. A former player who we sold for pennies and is now being linked with a £10m move to Sheffield United.
  8. Imagine doing a deal with a travel agent, only for them to turn around after and say "Nah, we've not got enough aircraft available" when the whole reason we agreed to a deal is because we wanted to get fans over to Europe for the away legs. Embarrassing stuff. Rangers should punt Thomas Cook if this persists.
  9. Mind the Old Firm at Ibrox on Hogmanay 2017 where we were 2-1 down. Forrester had the chance to deliver a through ball to Dodoo who could well have equalised to make it 2-2. But no, Forrester decided he'd keep running with it and Sviatchenko eventually got it off of him. (http://www.talkingbaws.com/2017/01/harry-forrester-apologises-for-not-passing-to-joe-dodoo-in-celtic-defeat/) The guy showed flashes of brilliance at times, especially in the Championship season but his attitude absolutely stinks. He was on loan recently at AFC Wimbledon and I've heard that his manager criticised his attitude during training. To me, he seems like a guy with some good potential but that potential is seriously hampered by his shite attitude.
  10. The main thing is we're through to the next round. No need for our manager to sit in a hedge and argue with fans this year ?
  11. Absolutely. I didn't feel the slightest bit nervous when McGregor ran out at that Shkupi player and got the ball off of him. You'd have never seen that confidence from Foderingham.
  12. The main thing from this is that we're through to the next round but that was a very dull display. Man of the Match for me is probably McGregor. He made some good saves which kept Shkupi from making it 1-0. I reckon McGregor will be key for us this season and he'll save us points. Content with the defensive pairing. The defence was tested a lot more in this leg than the last and they looked rock solid. Morelos was woeful, even worse than in the previous leg. I've been an ardent defender of Morelos recently and believed he was just going through a really shit run of form (maybe he is) but I think I'm starting to lose my patience with him. The main job of a striker is to score and Morelos just isn't doing that, unfortunately. Of course, it's still early days and the squad still has a lot of gelling to do but I'm hoping this Umar Sadiq can be some real competition for Morelos because I think it's what the man needs to help kick him up a gear. Jason Cummings just wasn't the man to really compete with Morelos last season tbh.
  13. Same. My season ticket is in BF3 but because of the allocation, they've shifted me to the back row of CF3. At least they didn't shift me to the Club Deck ?
  14. Well, it's a bit of a mixed bag for me personally. When it came to going forward, I felt we lacked quality. The only ones who seemed to be causing them any problems was Murphy and Middleton when he eventually came on. Tavernier's penalty in the 90th minute was a gift and it could easily have ended 1-0, which in my opinion brings back horrible memories of Progres from last year. The positive for me though was the defence. Goldson and Katic looked rock solid up back and Shkupi didn't really get a chance. I'll gladly take a 2-0 victory though. It's defo better than what we had last year and it gives us a bit of a cushion going into the 2nd leg in Macedonia.
  15. It's a bloody good thing that there will be none of them there tonight then ?
  16. Kind of agree with him, I can definitely see where he is coming from when he says this. The club hasn't won a league title since the 2010/11 season, nor have we won any decent silverware since then. I can defo see where he's coming from though because we as Rangers fans have had to endure a plethora of mediocre managers in recent years which just haven't been up to the standard that the Rangers job demands. However, my biggest fear for this season is that Gerrard ends up hitting a bit of blip, something like a few bad results in a row. At which point you'll probably have fans calling for his head. Again, I can understand this impatience when you consider what we've been through since administration. However, as many have already said, we can't keep having this revolving door policy when it comes to managers. I agree though, Pedro and Murty were genuinely awful and had to go. Murty looked like he lost it after that 3-2 defeat in March. What this club needs is a degree of stability and if we keep hiring managers one summer and then sacking them by Christmas then Celtic getting 10 in a row will be almost certain I think. I say give Gerrard the full season (unless he's so awful that we haven't won a game in months, although I highly doubt he can be any worse than Pedro or Murty). Realistically we should be looking to be competitive with Celtic this season and aiming to gradually close the gap. Maybe even win a trophy along the way and finish a comfortable, competitive 2nd place. Then the season after we may be able to seriously challenge for the title. The club needs stability and we're not going to have that if we keep chopping and changing managers as someone here already said.
  17. Aye, all the usual suspects are frothing at the mouth about this. Even saw one guy on another website try and compare it to the swastika. The key thing I find hilarious is that they literally have an away kit with an actual cross on it for this season. I mean, I have no problem with that. I don't care what the mhanky mob do, there are better and more pressing things to worry about in my opinion. It's just amazing that they can't see their own hypocrisy. Yeah, obviously for many fans there will be that connotation behind it but with me, I like it purely because orange is an absolute belter of a colour on a football top. I couldn't give a monkeys what folk think.
  18. Absolutely fucking staunch. I'm buying the hell out of that orange one.
  19. That looks bogging. Surely it's something temporary or just a training kit of some sort..... Can't imagine we'd leak out kits like that before announcing them. ?
  20. Went and looked on the website myself and they do look to be selling well for a friendly match.
