  1. Re PLG it would require a thread all by itself to tackle that issue, but in relation to McCoist PLG had a proven track record in France. I'd also dispute people saying he was given the chairmans full backing, he may have backed him privately but his position became unworkable because it wasn't done Publicly, and while that was the case the media found it very easy to be divisive. Ferguson was a great Rangers midfielder but we the fans should have been far more critical of him - a lot of water will have to flow under the bridge before I forget his shameful role! By the way if McCoist didn't learn how to manage a team with WS by his side, and after 6 months he wasn't up to the task then for me that's enough time, had our financial situation been better I would have sacked him before the January window. As for being loyal to him, most people said let him have to the end of the season to see if he could turn things round - by the time Administration hit us we were in freefall with Ally standing at the dugout ABSOLUTELY clueless! That may seem harsh, but it's the truth and as my Ma used to say 'tell the truth and shame the devil'. By the most Celtic fans (inc Lennon) say Ally needs more time, they would... Never let sentiment cloud your judgement I say.

  3. Be careful mate they kept saying that season after season with Ham & Eggs...
  4. I can, for the simple reason McCoist had the teams full backing, whereas Le Guen had a mutiny to contend with. I think that negates that as a factor. Had Murray shown Ferguson etc the door and given Le Guen HIS full backing in time the players would have acted professionally.
  5. What is it with forums that people can't conduct an argument debate without using offensive language? Pretty poor debating skills. Ally McCoist has been shown to be an inept manager, either argue your case or I"ll start being offensive too!
  6. So then name me a worse one - with the 'possible' exception of Ham & Eggs there hasn't been one! I'd certainly exclude PLG because I think given time (and the players not playing as rebels) he would have done well. Listen, this 'at a time like this' line cuts no sway with me! He's a terrible manager and this season (also when WS was silly enough to leave him in charge of Cup games) showed he could not 'step up'. I really hope we aren't gonna go down the John Greig line here, keeping him on as managers season after season soley because he's a Rangers Hero. Had we not been in this position there's no way fans would contemplate keeping him on as Manager - give him a PR role and let's not relive the Greig Manager years! PLEASE NOT! PLEASE NOT!
  7. Accepted. That kinda talks leads to more emotive stuff and before you know it we're all calling each other names etc - not helpful to open debate or encouraging others to participate. To be honest I'm not sure why anyone would stand up for Ellis, The Mint clearly thought he was risky, therefore with him going in with Whyte so soon after that I'd say my opinion/conjecture is probably not that far from the truth....

  9. If Kennedy thinks McCoist is the right man in the dugout ii just prey he doesn't get control of the club. Ally has been the worse manager in the history of our great club. I would be 100% in favour of Ally being kept on in PR but not as manager! Old yellow teeth will reading that thinking PLEASE, PLEASE LET THAT BE TRUE! The media will be backing Kennedy now!
  10. I've got stacks of DVD's and PS3 games - pretty cheap these days buying online. In my job there's a TV and although I leave it on it's garbage I'VE NOT HAD A LICENCE FOR 5 OR 6 YEAR NOW - DON'T MISS IT AT ALL!
  11. Some comfort to Rangers fans would be if Chris mcLauchlan put a revolver into his mouth and pulled the trigger! :-) "Some comfort" indeed. Snidey c*nts can't even hide their hatred of Rangers, the possibility/probability of Rangers emerging from Administration is just is too much for them. :-)
  12. That's what I said!!! I've had the Licencing people in my house a couple of times now - all they can do is check your TV (and video) aren't tuned in and receiving transmissions! Pretty straightforward!
  13. This story highlights the fact that once we are on our feet again we need to deal with these c*nts at the BBC! I Was wandering where the likes of Chris McLauchlan was, now we know GOING THROUGH THE SFA RULEBOOK WITH A MAGNIFYING GLASS! It won't prevent the fella from doing his task, all that it will mean (if implemented, which I'd say is VERY doubtful) is that one of the other Blue Knights would be the frontman! Absolutely pathetic are the BBC Scotland. I'd ask people to do as I do and don't pay a TV Licence! If your TV set (and video if you have one) are not tuned in, you don't need a TV licence! It's clear the people they employ are just using their jobs to pursue their Celtic supporting, Rangers hating agenda! WE SHOULD AT LEAST iNSURE THAT WE AREN'T PAYING THEM! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY, PUT IT INTO RANGERS FC!
  14. Also, using insulting emotive terms against fellow posters is woeful in terms of debate - if that's what we can expect from you I'll be looking for the ignore button. Absolute nonsense indeed!
  15. There's absolutely no way you can know that for certain. I'll be holding onto that suspicion and tbh how you can say it's nonsense is conjecture (as is my opinion), given the life that c**t Whyte leads it's insulting to use that term on me! Conjecture is never factual therefore you're wrong to use that term! PRETTY POOR OF YOU!
  16. Of course you are right - just a bit paranoid with what has gone on before! Maybe best to see the worse outlook, probably not!
  17. Using this blackberry is a pain when you're a speed typist. I entered long and well thought out answers to your points and just as I was about press reply I inadvertently pressed the 'back' key! I'm away for a lie down with Agatha Christie! ;-) On book 4 of this new hatchette series of the great writer, btw there's a few characters that crop up that Whyte may have modelled himself on!
  18. Three points: 1. It could have been that someone with lots of cash AND Rangers' best interests at heart could have bought the club, prior to Whyte arriving on the scene. Also, the fact The Mint wouldn't sell to that Shyster Ellis must've allayed any fears Paul had about the change of ownership! 2. I don't think there was anyway in the world The Mint would sell to Paul.. 3. I think he probably has finalised his plan (just a case of making the final tally), but as the numbers are still growing you wouldn't want him to miss out some people who will still come forward? WOULD YOU? I wanted PM to succeed prior to Whyte as it was my opinion Whyte was the frontman for Ellis. I'm sure had Rangers qualified for Europe after the qualifyers Ellis would have stepped in for his piece of the pie. Maybe we should be happy Ally was such a poor manager...
  19. I think you're wrong. Three points: 1. We don't know how much money TBK's are putting up. 2. It's clear as day the fans must be involved if we're to grow as a club and to insure this scenario doesn't happen again. I'm pretty sure Paul mentioned the fans participating last April and no one can be in any doubt about this because there's no way we'll be fooled again. What's the old saying "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice..." 3. The Administrators have their own agenda I think - as I said throwing spanners into the work will get them more time. You do the sums mate, it's been stated many times what they're being paid! You need to remember those things because the Admin guys won't wanna walk away from a good thing - I wouldn't be surprised if they're giving Whyte a back hander! Capitalism - as Spit the dog would say HAAKFUUT
  20. Paul Murray can only deal with the situation the club is in. Ticketus has to be factored in. I'm sure guarantees they'll be getting paid will ensure they are patient and more than reasonable to deal with! We'll no doubt have to pay at least 10p in the pound to HMRC so we're gonna be scratching our arses for a wee while at least. No doubt the young players will be getting their chance!
  21. That's the real point - out of all the bidders the only ones to put some cards on the table are TBK's I feel because of that and the fact that the supporters groups are backing them that should afford them some time and leeway! I feel the Administrators are airing doubts and scepticism on the Blue Knights just to drag their heels as at £200,000 to £400,000 pcm they are in no hurry to sell and walk away! That's a problem I feel.
  22. Spot on even if he was just an 'Advisor' to a PROPER Ibrox PR Dept that actually fought back (and had a legal threat to it), that in itself would give them the lead to take things further! No longer can we sit back and let that lot set and control the agenda - we need serious people doing a professional job, if any wants to know what that is then read BOILING A FROG.
  23. Some people are just being too suspicious of Paul and TBK's - all will be revealed soon.
  24. Slightly optimistic with a touch l fear. Just hope The Blue Knights can take over with the help of us the fans! I fully back TBK's!
