Walter Starts the Fight Back - Time for the Fans to Boycott the Lloyds Banking Group?

Maineflyer you may be right in your assertion of what happened previously , however considering Murray's achillies heel of personnal critiscism it is not totally unexpected for him to expect total loyalty from his staff and Smith does believe that he owes Murray a great deal for giving him his chance and backing him with the hard cash during NIAR.

That should not preclude Wattie from being an excellent chairman , he has a very good rapour with the media the vast majority stay very much on his good side , also he is not a stupid man and is steeped in the club and what it stands for , he has never been in a position to defend us with any real power so that should not be held against him and pointed very much at Murray and to a lesser extent Bain , a man who really suffers from the Murray effect .

I think the only way forward is for everything and everyone to be swept aside and a totally fresh start made. There is a difficult enough job to be done without pulling baggage behind us. By all means express gratitude if that's what you feel but it really is time to move on............. completely.

It would be interesting to see whether or not the new owner (for argument's sake Dave King) appointed himself as chairman or someone else - e.g. Paul Murray or even Martin Bain...

He may also keep Johnston on as Chairman as they are apparently good friends.

I'm not sure whether AJ's limited time spent here is a good thing in the long run. It's maybe not a a massive problem in this transitional period, but you'd like to think that the Chairman of Rangers would be spending a bit more of his time here in Glasgow.
