Beasley's Car Fire Bombed-Rumour!!

Recommended Posts

RANGERS star DaMarcus Beasley's £65,000 motor was firebombed over a fling, the Record can reveal.

The single midfielder had been involved in a relationship with a woman which led to "tensions".

Her boyfriend is connected with leading underworld figures in the city.

The woman was spotted at Beasley's house in the west end of Glasgow just two nights before the attack - which was exclusively revealed in the Record.

It's understood detectives are probing claims the affair lay behind the torching of the BMW car.

The incident is not thought to be sectarian related or connected with his role playing for Rangers.

A source said last night: "DaMarcus has been involved with a woman and other people connected with her have found out.

"This has become the central theory over what happened to the car. The police are looking into this in great detail and it's a somewhat unsettling turn of events for all concerned."

The car was targeted in Queen's Gardens in posh Dowanhill, Glasgow, shortly after 11pm on Monday. The attack bore the hallmarks of a planned and possibly professional hit.

A hooded figure in dark clothes placed an object - thought to be a container of fuel - under Beasley's BMW 650i. He then walked backwards, pouring fuel for about five yards and lit it with a lighter.

The man then ran off and jumped into a waiting Audi A3 with false number plates which was parked at the bottom of the road.

The white car drove back past the blazing vehicle, then sped off along the quiet streets of Dowanhill at up to 60mph.

Witnesses dialled 999 at 11.05pm and the fire brigade were on the scene five minutes later.

Beasley, 27, came out of his penthouse flat, around 30 yards from the parked car, as firefighters were putting out the blaze.

In an exclusive interview with the Record, he said he had no idea about the motive for the bombing.

A police probe into the attack is "ongoing".

Great. We've got a player who is supposedly being chased by gangsters.

If he's been copping off with a gangster's bird, he's as big an idiot as Boruc and Terry.

Sadly, if you do something like this, knowingly, you kinda deserve what you get.

And what if he didnt know she is a gangsters moll ?

Oh, and sorry, but I personally dont see how he deserves to have his car fire-bombed for copping off with some gangster-related woman - he is single, not his problem.

Which part of 'knowingly' did you fail to grasp?

Regardless, even if he knew that she was a gangsters chick why should he "deserve all he gets" ? Which part of that are YOU missing ?

Even if he did know who she was and the connections she has he is a single guy. So you think that because he sleeps with someone else's woman then he is fair game for criminal actions against him ?

When Artur Boruc hooked up with a Polish gangster's woman, I remember the outcry of 'does he have a deathwish' from forums. Now it's our own player and you think everything should be rosy?

Are you being deliberately naive here and assuming because he's a Rangers player, even committing this sort of folly shouldn't see repercussions? And I mean factually, not morally.

Have to agree, when things happen to Rangers players more often than not fans stick the blue tinted specs on and defend the fools. If it happened to an opposition player there's fun and laughter poked at them.

Clearly Craig is looking at this from the point of view of sensible human being with decent morals as opposed to bitter football fan. I think you know that though. Also just because other fans may have had a wrong opinion (as craig sees it) on a previous incident does not mean you can throw that back in Craig's face. Craig is a Rangers fan, but also an individual. So the fact that other fans previously had a different opinion to him is irrelevant.
