Saying "fuck Kevin Thomson" says animosity - saying "Kevin who" doesnt. It is hardly aggressive or inciteful. Edit: SUMMER signing Kevin Thomson fractured the fibula in his right leg in Saturday's goalless draw at Leicester City, Boro have confirmed. The Scotland international midfielder is expected to be ruled out for around two months after hospital x-rays revealed the fracture. Thomson, who was making only his second competitive appearance for Boro, was carried from the pitch on a stretcher and left the Walkers Stadium with his leg in a splint. The 26-year-old will visit a specialist on Monday to advise on the best rehabilitation for the injury, including whether his leg should be placed in plaster or a protective boot. However, an operation will not be needed. Fortunately, the injury is a undisplaced fracture in the non-weight bearing bone so Thomson should make a speedy recovery. Boro manager Gordon Strachan said: "I was hoping Kevin would be all right but you can tell when someone's seriously hurt. "It's bad news for the player and a big loss too for the team because he has been our best passer in the first two league games. "That's two stretchers in two weeks because we lost Willo Flood long-term last week too. We've got Rhys Williams missing too of course. We've not had much luck with injuries in my time here." I'm quite sure the majority of Bears wish him better luck than he wishes us for next Sunday, when we go to Edinburgh to play the team Thomson supports. A decent player for us, good passer, but hot-headed and injury prone, and I always felt we were never going to get more than one contract out of him. I dont recall him ever declaring undying love for us, or stating he wanted to stay forever, so that is fair enough. He was just another professional footballer that we signed, played, and sold. I do always look out for ex-Rangers players/managers and their new teams results, especially the players I particularly liked at Ibrox, and hope they do well. I was delighted for Charlie Adam for example when he took Blackpook up, and was delighted to see wee Burky get the winner yesterday for Cardiff, while disappointed to note that Boyd failed to score for Boro. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

I have a simple procedure for ex bears If they demanded a transfer or left in acrimonious circumstances, i hope they fail miserably (Boumsong, Cuellar, Moore) If they left amicably and their departure didn't sadden me too much, i'm pretty ambivalent towards them (the majority of players we sell) If they were one of my favourite players and were pretty much forced out, i hope they are successful as fuck (Amoruso, Numan, Thomson) 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
