Here we go again - more anti Rangers propaganda from the bheasts

Recommended Posts

The summit should never have happened, there is one example of politics forcing their way into football.

The summit was a foregone conclusion. It was a perfect storm.

Depending on the outcome of the election, there may yet be a more perfect storm.

What's happened before matters not one iota. The present media juggernaut has a new agenda.

I despair.

As a few people have said here already though, these things and how they're reported alter public perception and there's an underlying accusation that these things were done by big bad Rangers bigots which could easily (most likely IMO) upset the fairness of our UEFA hearing next week. I really do believe that this has been masterminded for exactly that purpose; to further enhance the sectarianism campaign against us.

I'm in 100% agreement with this. There is indeed a big conspiracy against Rangers. Trouble is, we can't prove it. Hopefully, before the UEFA hearing, we can manage to find something solid to point our own fingers at. To me, we already have enough evidence to show there is indeed some dodgy accusations against us, but if the hearing members are already in the oppositions camp, it could be rather difficult to escape this one with a lighter sentance.

We really do need to calm down on the outright 'bad' songs though.

The only way to fully defuse the situation and perhaps to wrong foot the bheast in the process would be for the Rangers supporters to make a declaration directly and independently to UEFA, renouncing said songs and committing to a different future. Somehow can't see it happening but the effect would be most wholesome. What a pity certain people made such a right royal fuck up of the RST eh?

Members of ArabTRUST have reported that illegal sectarian chants were sung by 'fans' of Glasgow Rangers at Tannadice Park last night.

These chants were heard throughout the stadium and ArabTRUST condemns these so-called supporters who bring down their football club and tarnish the reputation of our national sport.

ArabTRUST has accordingly reported the matter to the relevant authorities.

Amongst many deplorable chants, at 9.06 pm, the following could clearly be heard in the stadium and on BBC Radio Scotland:

We are Rangers

Super Rangers

No one likes us

We don’t care

We hate Celtic

F****n b******s

We will chase them anywhere

We now challenge both the SFA and UEFA to take action. These chants have also been reported to Tayside Police and we await the outcome.

We are fully aware that many Glasgow Rangers supporters share our concerns.

It is time that both sectarianism and bigotry are ended in Scottish football, and Scottish society as a whole.

We invite all supporters' trusts to join together so that we may eradicate such vile prejudices.

To be fair, it really WAS cringe-worthy hearing that song belted out last night. Not because it is a "bad" song but because it so obviously contains the word Fenian and that has been outlawed.

Sorry but just how fucking stupid does our fanbase need to be ? It has been outlawed, we have been hauled on the docks by UEFA over offensive and/or sectarian singing - yet we still sing the stuff.

Yes, some will call it defiance in the face of inequality. But others will rightly say it is either outright stupidity, ignorance or a lack of caring towards our club, its reputation and its future. Or perhaps all of the above.

I very much dislike that we are being treated unfairly (which we undoubtedly are) but FFS do we ever provide our detractors and haters with a rod to prod us in the back with.

Sure, we have our enemies but it would seem that we are, simply, our own worst enemies.

Get our own house in order, dont give the enemy ammunition to fire at us and they will have to dine other targets - and, in fact, we can also target others - but whilst we utilise "Fenian" and "FTP" in our repertoire (whether justified or not) we will never move forward.

I always thought that it was defiance and, to an extent, applauded it. However, I am starting to believe that it is stupidity, especially when we have been warned by UEFA AND the club.

What needs done now is that we refuse any away tickets for a set period until this dies down. Make no mistake, if we win on Sunday there will be calls to have points docked.

Sheer stupidity really - does it need spelled out?

The crazy thing is that the song would be fine if we slightly changed one F**n word to "Fuckin'". And that would harldly be nicey, nicey or PC for all those idiots who think they are hard or something when they sing "naughty" stuff.

Agreed. Its all about changing 1 word and nobody can say anything. It obviously cant be the 'song' TBB which is banned else why arent Man Utd fans being threatened with arrests as they clearly use this tune to Busby boys and even say "if you are a city fan surrender or you'll die" - now isnt that equally as offensive.

The club needs to take a stand and make it clear in black and white if it is words or songs that is not allowed.

IMO TBB should be belted out on Sunday with the change of a few words. We could even go Man Utds route. "If you are a celtic fan surrender or you'll die"
