POOL are being linked with a Rangers wonderkid labelled one of the games rising stars.

The Seasiders are understood to have made an enquiry about attacking midfielder John Fleck, who made his first-team debut for the Glasgow giants at the age of 15, four years ago.

Fleck has made 37 appearances since. He is a big part of Rangers long-term plans and signed a new three-year contract last year.

But Pool are hoping to land the teenager on a loan deal and have made contact with Ibrox.

Ian Holloway wants to add players with an eye for goal before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, especially with DJ Campbell on the verge of finally leaving.

The striker is close to completing a move to QPR, though there has been a hold-up as he waits to see if Aston Villa come in with a late bid. Campbell has not been training with Pool.

Sorted that bit at the top.

He's been a huge disappointment, but I think it's more attitude than anything. He's had this 'Scottish Rooney' tag since he was about 15 and I think he's believed it. A season away with regular gametime could do him wonders and he could be fantastic when he comes back. Hope this comes off as a loan deal and that it works out for him and for us.

Unless Ally intends to bring in another attacking midfielder it would make sense to hold on to Fleck until January when Bedoya arrives then send him out on loan for the rest of the season if Coisty thinks a loan will do Fleck good.

His wages cant be that high, right ? So why is it we are letting him leave on loan when we STILL need MORE players, not less ?

The lad is a decent enough player, just hasnt had a chance in his preferred position. He certainly could link with Jelavic and Naismith but it is not guaranteed that AM will play the formation that suits this.

If a guy isnt going to get playing time then, sure, let him go on loan - but our squad is very depleted as it is so I would hope that if we let him go out on loan then we have another replacement ready to come in.

We need to augment squad numbers, not diminish them.

The rumour goes that Fleck and Ness are at roundabout 1,5k a week, while Wylde is at 850 pounds. Hence he's somewhat hesitant to sign a new deal at the same conditions.

As for Fleck, the lad needs competitive games and experience. As long as Davis and Naismith are ahead of him in the creative and attacking midfield roles, he'll be restricted to cameo substitute roles. IMHO, a loan till January (to see whether he actually gets games with Blackpool) in the Championship would do well to get him into shape.

Seems to be surprising unanimity grom Gersnetters here. I'm baffled why he hasn't broken through but maybe the attitude mentioned earlier is the clue. For God sake we don't want to let him go only to see another Adam situation.

He only signed a contract extension not long ago, nobody is saying they want rid of him like Adam,he needs to start playing regular first team football to make the break through,if he is not going to get that at Rangers then it would be better for him and Rangers if he went out on loan until say January so he can continue to develope his career
