Utterly divided support

Recommended Posts

This thread, as reasonably debated as it has been, just highlights the splits.

I don't know who came up with Rangersfamily; possibly some well-intentioned individual trying to bring us all together after we went into admin - but the factions, disagreements, divides, arguments, squabbles and in places personal insults show there really isn't one.

We're not bad people by any stretch, but there's no family. Just some distant relatives who support the same cause but completely stubbornly disagree on how to get there.

Are you a lone child Danny? That sounds just like every family with children I have ever met.

Self interest and promotion have been a big spanner.

I honestly feel like screaming - there is no Rangers family as far as I can see.

It's getting so that I'm nippy with the kids these days - and THAT ain't worth it.

We are still family, all family's have disagreement and infighting some family's fall out and don't talk to each other for years, but they are still family. What matters is we are all Rangers and we all want the same thing. We want our beloved club to survive and prosper, we want our pride back .

The RST are not to blame here. Along with the other main supporter's organisations they backed the BKs. They did that openly and transparently. What has transpired today suggests that they were right to do so. To blame Miller pulling out because of a few banners and some nasty emails is stretching credulity. IMHO, Miller backed out because his business case didn't stack up. It really is as simple as that.

Searching for scapegoats amongst other Rangers fans really isn't good enough.

Backing one group is fine, but to then bad-mouth every other interested party the way they did was at best extremely naive and at worst a deliberate attempt to get their feet under the table and it stinks to high heaven. The people in charge of the RST/Assembly or whatever the latest group are calling themselves need to have a long hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are just making a bad situation worst.

MD is entitled to ask questions of any potential new owner just like the rest of us. Please avoid making this personal.

Whilst I agree with this surely you can't agree with his methods posted above? He must have known that a fair selection of people would abuse those contact details and not use them in a manner which he has suggested. I don't believe for one second that this had any factor in BM pulling out, I think that comment yesterday was a nice we jibe at those who have contested his take over methods vocally.

That's a fair enough observation mate.

The Trust and FF have made mistakes but none of us are perfect and it's not as if this is a situation we have good experience of.

Wonder who long one of us would've lasted if we had posted details of his favoured buyer and started asking questions.

As some have stated, MD and the RST do indeed have the right to ask questions and I don't think many are arguing otherwise.

What is poisoning their image is the way they are going about it and the fact they are only asking questions of anyone who isn't The Blue Knights. They are, and will probably remain, nothing but positive when it comes to TBK.

I am concerned TBK will ride in on the crest of a euphoric wave, with the minimum of questions asked until it is too late.

Like the SPL clubs at their meetings, the supporters groups appear to be looking after their own interests first and in my opinion manipulated by paul Murray & co.

I may well be wrong, but this perception exists. I have many, many questions about TBK's bid. They appear as the party of no liquidation or Newco, which I consider a pipedream.

If, as I predict, they sweep to power and then put their hands up saying "we tried, but we must liquidate" the backlash on TBK and the supporters groups will be horrendous.

I don't think there would be a backlash should TBK (or Kennedy) opt for a newco.

We seen with Miller fans are not against a hive down so while TBK may have talked about stand-alone CVA's previously they have the get out clause required for changing tact late in the day.

With you at the forefront. Your hatred for the consortium was the opposite side of the coin to those championing them.
