Recommended Posts

When were Green's consortium ever actually "bidding"? D&P just announced them as having signed a contract which would make them our new owners one way or another.

They were one of a few new bids that came to the table when Bill Miller withdrew, and that process had to be done quickly.

Aye, it was interesting to see them getting their arses in gear and getting shot of the club so quickly after Miller pulled out. Three months of administration to get to the point of Miller bricking it and pulling out and 3 or 4 days to sign the club away to Green's consortium. You'd be forgiven for thinking Duff & Phelps wanted out of Dodge asap no matter what.

Or we simply couldn't afford to trundle along in administration much longer.

I think you both have valid points.
