SFA Membership close

Recommended Posts

Methinks if we do not get a transfer of our old membership, which is what we are trying to do now, we'd have to apply for a brand new license. That would be food and drink for all the "club dies with oldco and license" heralds. A new license would also only be issued to a company with a 3-year trading background, which Sevco Scotland does not have. Whether Kennedy et al has one remains to be seen.

Just saying.

I don't think Kennedy will have and your right about the licence transfer.

in truth if we don't get a transfer we would be as well forgetting the history and just buy st mirren and move them, change the name and strip.

...and how much would it cost to completely start again from scratch???

...I very much doubt that 50k fans would hand over £500 and nothing in return!!!

...where's the money gonna come from???

well they would in my senario be getting lots in return.

remember you would be starting from scratch only in the sense of staff. you would have bought the assets from the admin or sevco. say that cost even 15 million. though 3 might be more like it.

you simply hire staff that are unemployed. players included so start up cost isn't huge.

you would be in a lower league remember sfl3 or conference 6. by the time you need players your back to collecting season book money.

its all a bit pie in the sky but its not impossible. the real problem is our owners would never allow it to happen. they would capitulate completely before going down that route.

only a one man maverick owner would do this and I don't mean Kennedy. its the sort of thing I would do if I won the euro millions.

... no. We should finally show some balls and sue the SPL and SFA for blackmail and coercion. If they are attempting to starve us out of football, we should simply bite the bullet and take them along.

We'd have nothing to lose at that point so it's worth a go even just to see Regan and the other snakes squirm under questioning.

At first it would mean a company and club without license - for the time being. If we sue the SPL & SFA, they would be automatically suspended from Europe, meltdown is upon them. That should make them consider, especially if UEFA finally happens by and checks the issue at hand. Second, well, there is no second. If Rangers bail out of Scottish football, it is finished. As we have seen from the tv deal wrangles, the SPL would go downhill, as Sky et al will pull the plug. Will Regan, Doncaster and Co. risk this, as it will at least in part laid on their doorstep, if not by the media and Lawwell's lapdogs, then by next to all SFL chairmen.

well yes but we have a staff wage bill of around a million a month. 7 players and a manager each earning the best part of a million a year.

sevco would ver very quickly run out of cash and there's only one way to shed those costs without honouring contracts or paying redundancy.

that's not to mention rates of 1.4 million a year on ibrox.

You mean e.g. sending all players on loan?

I know what you are aiming at. That would be the problem for all parties involved though. IMHO, should we make that step, a solution will be sought within a month, or else the oblivion will happen to everyone.

loans could help but not solve the problem only administration would do that.
