my old uncle was an apprentice bricklayer and the other apprentice was captain cutlass they remained friends for may years I even had the pleasure of meating bobby many times a great ranger he was .

Sitting at the game today the brother said , remember 50 years ago when we would stand over there on that terracing and at half time scoot round to the pie and Bovril shed behind the shed dodging the piss pouring down aye happy days he says I wish the stadium was still like that , I don't know if he is right I prefer sitting .

52 years ago today Jim Baxter scored two goals for Scotland against England at Wembley securing a 2-1 win.

 

The video below shows Eric Caldow being attended to as Bobby Smith is helped from the field, recovering from a tackle which broke Caldows leg. There is no actual footage of that tackle, but rest assured Smith done a 'Hatchet Job' on Caldow.

 

 

Willie Henderson and Davie Wilson didn't miss the trick like most of us do today.
