Who would you have as the next manager of Rangers?

Recommended Posts

here's a radical idea: why don't we stick with the manager we've got? I'm old enough to remember the chants of "Ally, Ally GTF" back in the 80s - but guess what, McCoist not only came good, but came good enough to be one of the greatest ever Rangers.

Ally is a smart guy, with undisputed love for the club and there is no-one on earth I would trust more to be in charge, except mibbe Walter.

Remember that McCoist is still learning his trade and he has yet to have a 'normal' season as manager.

Give him time and let him learn his trade through divs 3 to 1; he'll come good - again.

comparisons between a player and a manager are ridiculous. two completely different jobs. is there any evidence ally is indeed a "smart guy"? seriously. this "normal" season excuse again is tiresome. ally has had more tools and more money than any other manager in the country bar one despite any or all "abnormalities" people want to drag up as excuses. the fact remains, he has already admitted twice this season he doesnt know how to fix our problems, a sackable offense in itself, and is clearly not learning from any past mistakes.

Learning his trade? How long does it take to realise that humping long balls will get us nowhere fast? He's had over 60/70 games now as Rangers manager and this aimless tactic seems to keep rearing it's ugly head. There is only one person to blame for that IMO. To me these are tactics that should have been outlawed as soon as Ally walked in the door. Instead he has embraced them with bells on. Hence Kevin Kyle.

Ally may be a smart guy but he is not a football manager
