Green plans Rangers wage cap

Recommended Posts

if I'm hearing correctly from a wee birdie there more than one or two questions now being asked about their stadium regards safety certificates. just watch. Drastic action may be required costing them a fortune

the tax payer will have to pay it. gcc are going to have it fixed before the c/wealth games come.

small club with no ambition who went straight back down.

But their wage cap was different. Blackpool's was based on squad role and I'm sure their key players got a maximum of £11k per week.

Our wage cap is 33% of our budget and if Blackpool was on the same budget their income would have shot way up in the PL and they would likely have survived by recruiting stronger players. Did they not also win a cup? Or at least get to a final?

Estimates our wage bill for 2013 at £5,200k, this included all the older players but I'm not sure it this was before or after the wage cuts.

first of all thats the blog thats had court action against it today by the club,. but anyway green says we are currently at 7.5 million. your estimate of 12 million is only another 8 players on 10k a week. would that win the spl. i have my doubts,

its not enough mate to compete with celtic who will have over 30m for wages.

Celtic have 3 squads worth of players. We can't afford to try to match that.. it's ludicrous. Let them run themselves into the financial wall. We should have 1 25 man squad (pref with at least 5 homegrown youths) then another reserve team to develop players and cover injuries/suspensions when required.

Paying £30m to have 2/3 full squads is absolutely mental, especially in Scotland where there is no money in the game.
