the delay of the shirt manufacturer

So you think Adidas is the best deal without knowing any of the details of any deal? :D

What would your decision be if Macron was offering us £3m and Adidas £1m with the potential of say turning it into £1.5m? Would you still go for Adidas?

i thought i made it clear my situation was hypothetical mate.

i dont believe there would be such a gulf in any such offers to be honest. the difference will be closer than that.

Oh there's no doubt the financial side was great and it's yet to be confirmed if we'll be able to match that (even relatively speaking) with the new deal - both in terms of strip-maker and logistics.

I'm just hoping for some ingenuity in that regard so when the new deal is announced (and it must be close) it will make for fascinating reading.

*naive?

for debate sake,

macron offer us 1m per year with no strips available outside of scotland so no avenue to expand our brand.

adidas offer us 900k per year but our strip will be stocked in every major sports store in most major cities around the world(like the celtic one is) with our kit being readily available just about anywhere(as the celtic one is) and an outstanding opportunity to expand our brand and turn that 900k into well over 1m.

i think adidas is the best deal.

If using Celtic as an example... why Adidas ? Nike would be an option too, no ? Especially if it is about brand awareness....

As I mentioned on another post i'm lead to believe it is between Puma and Adidas, with Puma being favourite due to their tie in with Mike Ashley, Sports Direct and the renaming of the stadium.

That being said, Mike Ashley is meant to be quite difficult to deal with and Rangers are worried that he might devalue our products through his shops.

If this is so then my concern would be that we are placing far too heavy a reliance on Ashley. "All your eggs in one basket" springs to mind.

JJB gave us great coverage?

Agreed the same amount of coverage they gave the Mhanks because when you walked into one of their shops it was hard to tell which club had the deal with them.

not great coverage just a step up from our current situation.

depends what shop you went in. the dedicated rangers ones had no celtc gear. the one at parkhead forge was better for us than them.
