Kyle Hutton on twitter

Recommended Posts

Absolutely depressing but then again I've seen tweets from other players who are on the golf course even earlier. Le Guen had the right attitude getting them in during the afternoons. No-one is asking them to do fitness work Gullane Sands style. Work on the basics - passing, moving, set pieces etc. Not only blaming Kyle Hutton but that Tweet just sums up Scottish football in a nutshell. Players from this country are too lazy to put the work in.

I know it's Ally's responsibility overall, but it's worth pointing out that the club employ specialist sports science qualified coaches like Adam Owen to take charge of the fitness and conditioning aspects of the training regime. That's a fact and it's a fact that's worth pointing out if anyone is trying to suggest it's Ally's fault that our players aren't fit enough.

I completely agree Craig, but most of the staff will be happy to leave early every day and that's a common trait in any workplace. We've been talking about this for years too, so it's not something that's just been introduced on Ally's watch.

Zappa, the person you quoted mentioned "training regime", not fitness - unless I missed a previous post by said poster.

I would be happy to leave every day too - but if I havent done the job to the best of my abilities I will stay back and get it done. This lot are imposters. McCoist needs to start being a manager, and not everyone's pal. Poor performance on Saturday = training on Sunday PLUS double sessions Monday to Wednesday, AT LEAST !

Sounds like you're holding back there?

Haha - not really mate. CG was asked a few months ago what is the management doing at MP with regards to poor performances, and CG replied 'the management has to be there first'. Bear in mind CG is rather flippant with his responses though.

Yes and the fitness and conditioning aspects of the training regime are understandably dictated by our sports science specialist/s, so worth mentioning when addressing the training regime. Don't be such a pedant! :D

Completely agree mate. It looks as though he maybe needs to get tougher to strike a better balance. Laughing, joking and general fun and games are important for good moral and a happy camp, but they need to be balanced out with hard work and some tough love. I'd wager that Ally IS trying to get that balance, but is probably tipping it too much towards the fun and games side due to his personality.

Not a lot any sports scientist can do when a manager ignores his recommendations.
