A new ownership battle - an impossible situation?

If administrators have broken their court duties I highly doubt it would take this long to deal with it. The bids are a matter of record surely?

well they are yet to get their administration approved by a judge iirc. it's a very large ongoing investigation.

The wheels of justice turn slowly.

They are being investigated by their own regulatory body over a possible conflict of interest.

Lord Hodge reminded them that even though the liquidators had been appointed he still held jurisdiction over Duff & Phelps.

Their actions will be reviewed as part of the duties of BDO.

The part they played in both the Whyte takeover and the Green takeover is being investigated by the police.

Way too early in the process to hold them up as paragons of virtue.

I expect any rich 'Rangers men' to be let downs as before.

It's worth remembering mate that for all but a year and a half of our existence we've been owned and run by 'Rangers men'. The vast majority built us up and never let us down.

SDM was no "Rangers man". Not by a long shot.

Frankie i've never gone for this 'D&P screwed other bidders' stuff and unless we get something very very conclusive to prove it I doubt I ever will. The wealth and resources of these guys were there to blow other bidders out of the water and they just didn't do it, they tried to get us as cheap as possible and despite a lot of bluster about how badly they got treated they never even attempted to put it it a court that the administrators had illegally accepted a worse offer. They were also horribly cowardly about the idea of being the ones to go the new company process, hence that McColl thing after Green has already completed his purchase. 'Green was only ever getting the club' is something I cannot make sense of. Even for the one reason that there was a preferred bidder before Green, so are we to believe that Bill Miller was part of a plot to throw us off the scent?

So give me one good reason why I should be putting faith in these guys again or how we even know they're better for the job than what we have now? Granted if rumours about all the share issue money being gone are true than it doesn't look so good but all it seems to be is rumours right now.

Mate, as you'll hopefully know, I didn't hold back in my criticism of any group last year so completely understand and share your cynicism with respect to this issue.

To be frank, I'd be astounded if D&P were guilty of anything illegal but there certainly seems to be a lot of inconsistency at best in terms of the way they worked. I know BillNg was equally scathing of their actions throughout his efforts to buy so this just wasn't an issue for the Blue Knights or the late Walter/McColl bid.

Like I said above, it is difficult for our fans to trust and potential owner which is why I've always said any buyer should be completely open with the fans. It's a shame we're still asking for this 18 months down the line.

McColl, King, Park or BK ....................... knit pick all you want but the fact is they would ALL be a better option than what we have at present.

That's a ridiculous statement.
