Rangers Part Of Hearts Financial Problems

Recommended Posts

I can't help thinking prior to our troubles Rangers FC would have sympathy with Hearts, and every SPL team except the BHEASTS, and would probably have tried to help them out in some way.

However after all we have been through and the pure hatred towards Rangers during that period the Rangers fans now have that very same hatred towards them as they had to us. We hate you as much as you hate us.

Hearts put entire squad up for sale amid financial crisis

Hearts will listen to offers for their entire first-team squad in an effort to keep the club afloat.

The Edinburgh club said it was the result of other revenue "drying up".

A Hearts source has told BBC Scotland that they need to raise a "significant six figure sum" before the weekend to be able to pay wages due to players.

Hearts face uncertainty with a debt of £25m - £10m of which is due to their parent company, UBIG, which is claiming insolvency.

And the club owes £15m to Ukio Bankas, which has been declared bankrupt .

Could we afford Danny Wilson I wonder?

Surely the SFA cannot sanction the signing of Wilson on a permanent basis?

Surely the Hearts board cannot sanction the club taking on a substantial committment such as Wilson's 3 year deal given the circumstances?

The main issue Im baffled about is that the SPL and SFA arent pouncing on them. Last year PRIOR to us going into Admin we were being hounded.

Like a lot of other Bears up until 2012 we would probably always have a soft spot for Hearts, and when they have played either Spurs or Liverpool in the past few season before last Ive never wanted another SPL club to do as well in Europe as in those games. Yet their mad owner assisted in sending us down the leagues so the relationship has got a long way to go near building bridges again.

Hearts and the other SPL clubs (except Ross County) made their own beds and they can deal with their own problems. I dont wish any bad luck or good luck towards them, what happens, happens. How they go about their business is none of ours. They just have to remember what they wished for (or voted).

If their parent company UBIG is bust then they'll need a new parent company i.e. newco. Why then aren't they being sent to SFL3 (or whatever the bottom tier will soon be called) like we were ? why is no one from Rangers asking such questions ?
