VB understands that the RFFF met Craig Mather & Brian Stockbridge today & were told categorically the clubs finances are in good shape.

It is my understanding that the club are trying to use the RFFF to bypass talking to the other supporters groups (RST, Assembly, Association). I would be disappointed if the RFFF allowed them to do that.

What else would they say? VB the guys who backed Whyte right to the end, not the best group to get informed opinion from.

Let's not make this about VB or the RFFF here because they are not the issue. The issue is whether or not Craig Mather, Brian Stockbridge & the rest of the current board can be trusted to operate the Club for the Club's benefit.

Aren't they all (or nearly all at least) represented on the RFFF anyway?

Though not all RFFF committee members were invited.

What we need is a supporter-director with full powers (i.e. not a 'fan's rep'), initially nominated by the main supporter's groups for a specific term of office (that gives us time to set up an election structure for subsequent supporter-directors), squeaky clean and with great business credentials. Essentially, we need our own person on the inside.

Maybe that is what the meeting is for tomorrow. Murray and McColl will pick their superhero puppet once they have had their cosy wee coffee and cake session with the invited supporters.

Mushrooms should not concern themselves.

I believe that they are on the RFFF committee in their personal capacities and not as representatives of their specific organisations. I also have some concern as to how independent of the club the RFFF is.

It's not remotely independent so long as there are club employees and those financially connected to club employees sitting on the committee then there are crystal clear conflicts of interest.
