NO large surfer banners allowed into Easter Rd on Sunday (confirmed by RFC)

Sad to hear that Police Scotland have told the Bridgeton Loyal they won't be allowed to take in and display their brand new (and expensive) banner despite it meeting all of the safety requirements and having been given the OK by both Rangers and Hibs.

Sounds like Police Scotland have told the Bridgeton Loyal that no large banners or surfers will be allowed. Looks like as per usual they've just taken the opportunity to be arseholes when it arose due to the lads getting in touch to give them a bit of notice.

We have just been told our banner is not allowed into the stadium on Sunday for the final. Rangers said it was fine easter road said it was fine police scotland have put a stop to it saying no large banners or surfers will be allowed. To say we are sick is putting it mildly. Our bus has spent over £1000 on this banner to bring a bit of fun and colour to our final and the police turn round and do this. Absolutely shocked, who said football was for the fans.

All certificates that met health and safety standards where sent with the itinerary to Rangers and Hibs. Both were satisfied, but police scotland put a stop to it.

We just thought give them a bit of notice never even dreamed it would get a knock back off the police its a final ffs. We thought we would add a bit of colour to the occasion to be told after all our hard work raising the cash getting it made on time and everyone buzzing for its first outing is soul destroying. They wonder why people are not going to football these days police have too much power. If the clubs involved ok it why have the police put a stop? They are meant to protect and serve the public ffs not knock back perfectly legal flags at a football match.

I hope they go back to the Club and get it sorted.

That's a brilliant banner. Where do we send donations?

No idea mate. I'm sure the Bridgeton Loyal are on twitter & facebook though if you or anyone else wants to look them up and get in touch.
