Mike Ashley set to bid for Rangers (and NUFC ban Daily Telegraph for story)

Oh but we will. Our numbers grow daily. Season books next year will be 15k if your lucky if the ****s remain.

At some point the shareholders will be forced to give us what we want or lose millions.

Or shut the place down completely. Have you thought of that option?

The shareholders already have lost millions

FWIW two years ago I was opposed to us going to the bottom tier because I didn't think it was affordable for us to go up the divisions the way we intended doing so. We needed experienced proven players to do so in the shortest possible timescale and that has so far worked albeit at considerable cost. Playing a bunch of kids peanuts would have been risky with no guarantee of being successful. That is mainly why we've been losing so much money. We need to get back to the top division and back into Europe ASAP.

Rab, nothing personal but it has to be said that that, is truly delusional !

You either don't want to see what is going on, you can't see it and/or you have emotionally invested in a particular direction and you'll hang on until after the fat lady sings

Why did we need all that?

Couldn't we just have rebuilt properly even if it took 5 years 10 years so what? We wouldn't have been constantly looking over our shoulders worrying where money was coming from

Newcastle United: Mike Ashley says the club is not for sale

Newcastle owner Mike Ashley says he has no plans to sell the club until at least the end of next season.

It was reported on Thursday that he is ready to buy Scottish side Rangers, in which he already has a 9% stake.

"The truth is Mike Ashley remains committed to Newcastle United," said a statement from the Premier League club.

"This means that for the remainder of this season and at least until the end of next season, Mike Ashley will not sell Newcastle United at any price."

Ashley also ruled out purchasing any further shares in Scottish Championship club Rangers.

Buckinghamshire-born Ashley, who owns sports retailer Sports Direct, bought Newcastle in May 2007.

Apparently late last night, news reached Geordieland that Govan was awash with Fifth Columnists and Ashely decided to pull the plug.

I'll ask the question again shall I - how do these 'credible men' get onto the board or become owners? And how would they 'help the club move forward' as you say? Not easy when you've no money

When the ****s agree to sell. Thing is, they're not for selling. Some milk left in the titty yet.
