Have I missed this investment ?

No clearly, Somers doesn't appreciate the difference between an investment fro Ashley and a loan for working capital for us.

An absolute embarrassment.

David Somers has told BBC Scotland that HE invited Derek Llambias & Barry Leach to the club as consultants.

Somers added "things will turn out for the best, it's good to get new investment in the club."

If you recall the AGM of 2013 and what followed........"Investment" is obviously sp.ivspeak for 'secured credit facility'.

Somers knows exactly what he saying though, unlike Easdale who might trip himself up because he's simply not very articulate.

If he had used future tense or said "looking forward to getting....." ok, but he didn't.

He's trying to mislead and create a more favourable impression of the MA involvement by misrepresenting the facts as they stand. It's consistant with the general message that is coming from Ibrox and their spin machine.

Maybe he knows more than we do and/or speaks about the share issue, which will no doubt be pushed through at the upcoming AGM ... given who holds the majorities and voted for Ashley ...

Just like he knew about the "investment" talked of in the 2013 AGM ?

Sorry, a chairman should qualify (where necessary) and use the apropriate tense when making public statements.

do we know that it will be pushed through at the agm. 25% can block it.

the good guys got 25% last time no problem.

IIRC it's only the removal of pre-emption rights that needs 75%, as Ashley is underwriting the rights issue he has no need for the removal of pre-emption rights as he automatically picks up any unused rights.
