Robert Sarver today announces that as a result of the board's failure to provide a counter proposal or to engage in any meaningful negotiations with him, he does not now intend to make an offer for Rangers.

This is worrying, but not totally unexpected....

Here was a potential buyer, who has already provided proof of funding, yet the current board didn't even bother entering ANY negotiations. I get the impression that they were never going to accept his offer.

In the mean time, the cash reserves are very quickly running out. Hopefully King/3 Bears can pull something oot the hat!!!

would be interesting to know if the board consulted with Parkco and King as major shareholders on whether this bid would be acceptable or not. I think their response should be made public and their reasons just to remove any doubt that they have sacrificed a potentially better deal for Rangers for the advancement of their own goals.

My guess would be that the Easdales had a wee chat with each other & decided that the 26% that they represent would not support the takeover, so rejected it.

that's is indeed possible, however as they stated they consulted major shareholders then King etc should come out and say whether they were consulted or not..
