Summer 2015 - Transfers and Rumours Thread

Recommended Posts

Wes Foderingham is set to agree a deal with Rangers to become Mark Warburton's latest summer signing.

The goalkeeper, who left Swindon Town at the end of the season, will undergo a medical in Glasgow and is poised to put pen to paper on a contract with the Scottish Championship club.

Having started his career at Fulham, Foderingham is perhaps best known for a row with then Swindon boss Paolo di Canio after he was substituted after just 20 minutes of a cup game against Stoke.

Meanwhile the Ibrox side are continuing negotiations with 35-year-old midfielder John Eustace.

The former Derby County captain arrived in Glasgow on Thursday to hold further talks over his proposed move to the Light Blues.

Eustace previously worked with Warburton at English Premier League side Watford.

Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan have already joined Rangers this summer.

RANGERS have secured the signing of goalkeeper Wes Foderingham on a three year deal with an option for a fourth year.

The six-foot-one shot stopper left Swindon Town at the end of last season after his contract expired and Gers have batted away interest from a number of English clubs to steal the 24-year-old’s signature.

Foderingham spent four years at the County Ground after Paulo Di Canio signed him following a successful loan spell.

He went on to make over 150 appearances for The Robins and impressed as the team were promoted by winning League Two in his first season.

Foderingham started his career at Fulham before signing his first professional contract with Crystal Palace in August 2010.

He was loaned out to a number of lower league clubs to gain experience including Histon and Bromley before moving to Swindon and never returning to Palace as was his impact with Town.

The London born keeper has also represented England at Under 16, 17 and 19 level and was part of the PFA League One Team of the Year for the 2012/13 season.
