Scott Allan hands in transfer request

Recommended Posts

interesting wonder if hibs are at it and trying to push up our offer.

or trying to sell him to another club. The statement does not say he is not for sale but "he will not be sold to Rangers"

they really are cutting their nose off to spite their face.

CLUB STATEMENT: SCOTT ALLAN

By: Hibernian Media on 28 Jul, 2015 18:02

In the face of continued media interest, Hibernian Football Club can confirm that Scott Allan has today handed in a written transfer request.

This comes on the back of two unwelcome and uninvited approaches from Rangers FC regarding Scott, the first for £175,000 and the second for £225,000.

Hibernian FC has refused both bids because the Club has no wish to transfer a valuable player to strengthen a major rival in the battle to win the Championship and gain promotion to the Premiership.

Hibernian’s position has not changed. The player will not be sold to Rangers.

Hibs would change their tune if we offered them a million quid for him mate, but hopefully the days of us paying silly money for players who aren't worth the transfer fee are over.

As well as paying silly fees to agents, silly signing on fees, and silly wages.

Scott Allan needs to settle down now and be a good pro. He ain't moving to Rangers this season. Quicker he accepts it the better for him

Just watch - hibz will now try to sell him to someone else to spite Rangers. You can bet they'll accept a bid for SA from someone.

Let's hope SA will stick to his guns & refuse to go anywhere except Rangers

Find it hard to get too worked up, I think he's a good player but it won't be the end of the world if we miss out.

Feel the same way myself. I'll be pleased enough if we get him for a good price, but won't be gutted if we drop our interest for the moment when we can get him for next to nothing in 10 months.
