Let's not kid ourselves here: had Oduwa done that in 25 mins and assisted a goal straight after, they would be raving about such skill.

The only bad thing is that the Alloa chap actually threatens what might happen with some of Scotland's more bog-standard defenders anyways, i.e. kicking him out of the ball. And given the bog-standard of some referees, they even might get away with it.

A flick too far from Rangers' Nathan Oduwa?

New Rangers loan signing Nathan Oduwa was accused of being disrespectful to Alloa with his trick at the end of a 5-1 victory. Do the beaten players have reason to grumble or is the teenager simply trying to entertain?

Rangers boss Mark Warburton said: "I'm not always a big fan of that. But you've got to hope you develop a real talent - and he is a real talent.

"You've got to make sure you create the environment for those boys to flourish. That's the key. I'm delighted with how he played and delighted we've got him. But he has to realise that he's up here to learn.

"There's no lack of respect intended by any of the players, absolutely not. Nathan's just enjoying his football."

It's getting blown out of all proportion by sad bastards with nothing better to write about. Wee Barrie McKay has pulled off tricks while playing for us in the past and nobody blew that out of proportion. Same with Lewis Macleod's tricks and overhead kicks, none of it was blown out of proportion like this nonsense.

The manager says he found this morning's back page headlines on Nathan Oduwa: "quite incredible."

ETA: So aye, Welcome to the godlfish bowl of Glasgow Warbs & Oduwa.

Warbs would have told about the parochial and negative attitudes towards us, but seeing and dealing with it first hand will be an real eye opener for him and the new boys.

What about playing the ball through a players legs? Is that not being disrespectful and make a player look stupid. Times are changing and youngsters can now do far more with a ball now than in the past. Surely you can beat a player any way you can. Hamilton won the ball what is he worried about?
