Transfer Deadline Day: Michael O'Halloran signs until 2020

Recommended Posts

Maybe the fact that we haven't gone back with a 3rd bid to St J on M O'H is because we've decided he's not worth what they want for him (or the terms of the deal), and maybe we've got our sights on someone else???

Best tuning back in when the window closes,....unless you enjoy riding round in circles, going not very far.

We have young Ross mccrorie who can play any fullback position. I've every confidence that we have cover in nearly all positions but if waggy gets injured were back to last season's hit men...so it's a must for a striker for me..

Absolutely. But who plays if Halliday gets knacked? Shiels? Ball? I was under the impression Thompson played as a deep-lying midfielder but, from his (quite impressive) cameos thus far, he looks like he's playing further forward.

I predict half a dozen Scottish newspaper headlines with the word snub and Rangers and Leeds in it within 30 minutes from now.

Still not fuzzed, only wondering whether we will step up our hunt with Crooks now. Or who these "very close" two guys are! Oh, the beauty of the transfer window.

will be interesting to see if "missing" out on this guy will push them on a bit to get the st johnstone lad tied up quicker. Makes you start to wonder why Warburton even entertained the press when saying he thought a few deals would be completed soon. Was he trying to put a bit of pressure on the money men?

It's imperative we strengthen in this transfer window to ensure we get promoted. Even if it's a couple of decent loan signings til the end of the season provided they can get in the starting XI.

What worries me is the apparent lack of funds. Even if we did get promoted with this squad we'd be cannon fodder in the top division next season.

He probably was decent but as with so many others, we didn't get the best out of him.

Throwing money at problems and when they didn't work,...throwing some more money at it.

TBF the fact MW had already worked with 'Dave' and clearly wanted him tends to suggest he could have been an asset.

However we haven't got the money to throw at present and if other more cash rich clubs want the same targets we are goosed.

It's the same with MO'H.

If Celtic do want him, they'll get him (unless there is more interest from England). All they have to do is offer a similar fee and say we'll let you keep him for X months or offer say Gary MacKay Stevens as a 6 month loan.

I never thought I would read of Leeds being described as 'cash rich' again!
